Brisbane and Southeast Queensland: Great place, great people. It was hard for me to move away and return to the US. I was in QLD for the '18 Commonwealth Games, and will return for the '32 Olympics.

I have been to Brisbane a few times but just in and out to see The Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast but the most important thing about Brisbane I meet my wife there but we are both from Melbourne we met at World Expo 88 and we are still together.

You'll want to visit Southbank - you can walk along to Howard smith wharves on the Northside, then either take a ferry or walk over the Storey Bridge, then walk back along the other side through parklands, then Southbank itself, then all the way around to Orleigh Park. The ferry is also a cheap and easy way to get a nice scenic river cruise. While you're in the area make sure you check out Moreton Island - you can take a barge from the Port of Brisbane.

It was nice to see my city through fresh eyes and I actually learnt quite a lot from your commentary. I love it here but I've always thought it would be a bit 'meh' for people visiting. Hi, nice video. Very well presented and good information. just one comment about ANZAC memorial 9:18 When we remember war or something similar we commemorate (respect) , not celebrate (party). Some people could find this reference offensive.

The metro is the smaller version of the supermarket chain Woolworths…its just the small city version. Also those black and white birds that you think are beautiful are ibises and are considered a pest…they’re affectionately known as “bin chooks” cos they tend to forage in bins, hence why a lot of the street rubbish bins usuallt have some sort of hood on them to stop them going into them 😊

In regards to that “metro,” thats not the name of the supermarket. The stylised ‘W’ is the Woolworths logo. Woolworths and Coles are basically a duopoly in australia controlling the lions share of the grocery/supermarket business. The word metro there indicates that it’s ‘metropolitan,’ ie. a smaller inner city store that you should expect a shrunk down version of their more typical 15 aisle, full service deli, butcher, bla bla etc. suburban layouts.

You should have stayed in side of the clock tower to hear it chimes on the twon clock tower in Brisbane for the next time you go in Brisbane unfortunately I can’t go back there for my holiday .😊
