Brisk Open-fire technology spark plugs produce 3 Plasma sparks for each single spark on conventional spark plug. Proven by multiple wins at Daytona Speedway.
SPARK PLUG PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION - BRISK MULTI-SPARK PLUG
Brisk Premium Multi-spark plugs are an entirely new and patented type of high performance spark plug. The spark plug name describes exactly what the spark plug is all about: multiple sparks. The spark plug have no traditional so called "J-gap" ground electrode, instead, there are two auxilary ring shape electrodes bonded to the surface of the ceramic insulator. Since the ring shape electrodes are conductive, they split one very large gap into 3 smaller gaps for the sparks to occur. Since the Multi-spark plug 3 gaps are in series, the spark has to jump three times in order to get from the center electrode to the ground (the spark plug shell), as this is the path of the least resistance. This means that if your vehicle is equipped with a multi-spark ignition system such as Accel, Crane, Mallory or MSD, you will have 3 times as many sparks on the tip of the sprak plug than your ignition system generate. For example with MSD multi-spark ignition system you will get 9 sparks per every single primary ignition pulse until abut 3,000 RPM when the multi-spark ignition system switch into a single spark mode. But even than you will still get 3 sparks with the Brisk Premium Multi-spark plug, just as you will with a standard OE (original equipment) ignition system in ordinary cars, motorcycles and such.
Please do not mistake this unique high performance Brisk Multi-spark technology with an ordinary multi-ground electrode spark plugs, which produce only one spark per secondary ignition impulse, regardless of the spark plug multiple ground electrodes- the spark will occur only between one of the spark plug ground electrode as they are configured in parallel.
ADVANTAGES OF HIGH PERFORMANCE BRISK MULTI-SPARK PLUG
Owning to their unique design, Brisk Premium Multi-spark plugs do not have to be indexed as they do not have traditional "J-gap" ground electrode, and produce 3 sparks per each impulse of the ignition system. Each spark is not confined to a single place and can occur anywhere in the spark plug 360 degree perimeter. As each spark naturally occurs at the place of least resistance (lower pressure and optimal A/F mixture) sparks happen at the place most favorable for the ignition. More than one simultaneous point of ignition (3 sparks at same time in different locations) results in better, and more spontaneous ignition of the air-fuel mixture. Sparks are not shielded by the ground electrode; therefore it provides faster, unrestricted expansion of the flame front. The mixture burns more uniformly and more quickly. The result of better utilization of available combustion energy is more power, better acceleration, lower harmful exhaust emission and reduction in fuel consumption. Brisk Premium Multi-spark plugs are prooven by multiple wins at DAYTONA SPEEDWAY and available in multiple heat ranges from stock applications to a full blown race cars.
Brisk Premium ZC is a spark plug that has no grounding electrode and provides three simultaneous sparks per one ignition impulse. Each spark occurs at the point of the biggest fuel concentration. Individual sparks are sufficiently distanced from one another, thereby ensuring perfect ignition of the air and fuel mixture. The mixture burns more uniformly and more quickly. This spark plug is suitable for clean burning engines with modern ignition systems.

I've been using these for a while and there is a noticeable increase in smoothness and power, especially in small motorbike engines. Although my 1584cc Harley likes them as well, its harder to feel any improvement because its got lots of power anyway.. The 3 sparks does work, I love them..

I may not understand how flame propagation works, but I do know how a Dyno works, how to read my 1/4 mile time slips and how to accurately check my gas mileage. Now with that being said, every plug I’ve tested in the past has made exactly zero difference. The only plug I’ve ever seen make any kind of difference was just using the correct heat range ngk plug. Now, if you want to send me a set of your plugs to try in my gto and make a believer out of me, I’ll try them and make a video on here and I’ll eat crow and admit I was wrong.

Yea.....that doesn’t make any difference whatsoever. If you light a fire, it’s lit. And that’s it. Do this: pour some gas on a log. Throw a match on it. It lights up. Do the same thing with three matches. It still....lights it. It burns the same exact amount and way. Go get a flame thrower. Light the log. Guess what. It still burns the same way. Sorry, but this gimmick has been tried and tried again. Does anyone still buy split fire plugs? How about ac delco rapid fire? E3? See where I’m going.

Again, I think you don't fully understand how flame propagation works. I appreciate your replies, but again this isn't snake oil, like you're trying to get at. Especially because the reference you are using doesn't properly represent what happens inside of a combustion chamber. Something to take in account is this spark plug utilizes parallel gaps and not series, which makes it unlike the plugs you've mentioned.

Kfx Guy Kfx you couldn't be more wrong... we're talking about thousands of ignitions, fractions of a second, it's absolutely advantageous to have maximum spark exposure to the fuel air mixture. This is why the Japanese have now come out with laser plugs, no spark at all, just a laser, it completely ignites the entire cylinder faster than any spark can, which means better timing, efficiency... etc.

guys none of your responses to original statement or the statement itself make any sense Regardless of where the spark starts on the plug, or how Many times it sparks would cause "detonation " seeing as how the spark would be the thing setting off the combustion event , it would be happening exactly when it was asked to, by the timing of the ignition , now if the combustion / detonation occurred BEFORE the spark , which is usually the case with detonation, goes hand in hand with pre-ignition most of the time, you cannot blame that on the sparkplug that hadn't probably even sparked yet...

There is no difference between "standart" spark plug and "multispark", because first spark will generates absolutale simillary in both spark plugs like another spark the same. There is difference from 2 and 3 spark plugs in 1 cylinder, but all difference is in minimazing of detonation with more first spark aviability in needed moment from 2 or more spark plugs in 1 cylinder. All another features is not more like marketing.

It doesn't make any difference where the plug makes its spark. As soon as the mixture ignites it burns independently of the plug, one spark will do the job. Even if it's a weak spark it will still make the mixture burn at the same explosive rate. Only a higher compression will increase the explosive rate and not a fatter spark.

The Brisk Multi-spark plug ALWAYS produce 3 sparks. The spark plug has 3 gaps in SERIES (after each other) so the spark always have to jump 3 times to complete it's path to the ground. It is the path of least resistance. If used with multi-spark ignition system such as MSD, the spark plug will produce 3 times the amount of spark supplied by the ignition box. If MSD ignition supply 3 sparks until 3,000 RPM, Brisk Multi-spark plug will generate 9 sparks. Above 3,000 RPM if the MSD ignition box goes to single spark mode, the Brisk Multi-spark plug will still generate 3 sparks. Brisk Multi-spark plug will ALWAYS produce 3 sparks, no matter what type of ignition system you use! The operation of Brisk Multi-spark plug is very easy to understand for everyone who have basic electrical or electronic knowledge and understand the difference between SERIAL and PARALLEL circuits.

1 spark at the correct time is more then enough. No amount of multiple sparks would or could make it any better. Its common mechanical sense. Does 3 sparks at one time = 3 times the ware? I would rather not change them every 3 months. No car manufacturers uses these. And they have billions at their exposure. Its simply a publicity stunt and a failure.

so by increasing the gap betwee 20%-100% from the factory standard gap you'll get a similar(or even better) performance to this spark plug, but it has chances of confusing my ECU ?, so does that 3 spark point that this plug has to offer do anything at all than a conventional plug that has 1 spark point ?

just increase by 20% of recommended gap on any type of plug and you be the judge.

I see lots of problems the prong on a normal spark plug limits the spark, to much spark can cause a bigger combustion and that means a hotter combustion chamber that only points to this..... melted piston heads .. lol

Do you need to change anything else to make it work this way? Or just by replacing the spark plug will do the job?
@BriskUSA
@BriskUSA 8 жыл бұрын
You do not need to replace anything other than spark plugs. The spark plugs has 3 gaps right after each other (in series) so the spark needs to jump 3 times to get to the ground. Spark travels at near the speed of light, so all 3 sparks happens at the same time. We also have new EVO design that has only 2 gaps in series = 2 sparks but have much longer life span than the original Brisk Multi-spark plug. The EVO plug uses laser deposition technology which makes the auxiliary electrode last much longer. For more info visit www.BriskUSA.com www.BriskRacing.com Thank you.

There will always be performance to be found by altering the air/fuel mixtures. Fine tuning can definitely net you more performance out of your engine in general.

To get a hotter spark, you need a hotter coil or MSD Ignition box..

@gsallen9588 8 жыл бұрын
+SR9x2 Yeah, just add $138 to your gonzo-costly plug order and you'll be all set!
@BriskUSA
@BriskUSA 8 жыл бұрын
+SR9x2 You are correct. But there is no ignition system that will produce 3 sparks at the exactly same time like the Brisk Multi-spark plug does! Brisk Multi-spark plug produces 3 sparks from each high voltage electrical pulse it receives. And if the high voltage electrical pulses are more powerful, the sparks are more powerful as well. Brisk Multi-spark plug produces 3 sparks because it's 3 gaps are in series (the high voltage pulse have to jump 3 times before it grounds itself - completes the circuit). So yes, if you have hotter coil (more powerful coil) you will have the capacity to have hotter sparks! Of course the ignition coil produces only the voltage needed to jump the gap in a given combustion chamber environment (so even if you have for example 60kV coil it may produce only 10kV if not under load), but we do not want to get too technical. If you use MSD or other multi-spark ignition (that produces subsequent additional sparks milliseconds right after each primary spark) Brisk Multi-spark plug will produce 3 sparks for every high voltage pulse that the Ignition box produces. If the MSD Ignition box produces total of 3 spark pulses (one original and 2 additional right after) the Brisk Multi-spark plug will produce 3 sparks for each, for the total of 9 sparks ( 3 x 3 = 9).
@flappingflight8537

@@BriskUSA actually , you divide the total energy of the ignition pulse ( lets say 60mJ delivered by the ignition coil) among 3 separate , simultaneous sparks . As a result there are 3 sparks of 20mJ each . As is known the ignitability is proportionally related to the spark energy and duration ! So , as it seems here , the chance to successfully ignite the mixture ( by any of the 3 separate sparks ) is 3 times lower. Also since the spark discharges are surface type , the initial flame kernels will be shielded from the one side and also since it happens in close proximity to the electrodes and insulator surfaces it will be additionally cooled by them down and this further will reduce its rate of growing and expansion further in to the combustion chamber . Also it’s known that the intense turbulent flow in the combustion chamber ( and in the spark gap) accelerate the expansion of the flame front and complete the burning process faster . Also is known that in close proximity to any surface there are such a thing as boundary layer ( calm , very slow moving air/fuel mixture ) . The surface sparks happens exactly in this boundary layer which additionally slow down the growing of the flame kernel! So at least theoretically, the idea of this spark plug doesn’t look good at all.Of course I can be wrong but you have to prove it :)
