At the January, 2024 monthly meeting of the Bristol Indiana Heritage Society (BIHS), Larry App gave a presentation about the "Old Store." This is episode 2 of a 5-part series about its owners.
The story of William Probasco is one of the most interesting in the history of Bristol, Indiana. Estimated to be the largest man in Elkhart County, he was a role model for the community and its businesses. "Uncle Pro" owned and operated the "Old Store" from 1857-1873.
