Syair lagu ini berupa pesan untuk putra putri indonesia setelah indonesia merdeka pada tahun 1945 bahwa walaupun sudah sekian lama berada jauh di negara belanda dan jerman lagi menuntut ilmu pendidikan kuliah tapi jangan pernah lupa tanah airmu ini.
