You could never have convinced me I would like ventriloquism. Then I saw Jeff Dunham years ago. I am an avid fan. You get so into it that you can forget it’s a dummy. He is that good. He got his first dummy as a kid and took it everywhere. His senior high school photo has him holding his puppet. Can you imagine? Back in my dad he still would have got beat up…

Actually, Jeff was adopted when he was a baby, his parents bought him his first puppet when he asked for one for Christmas, I believe he was about 9 years old. He had other puppets too. And would get his yearbook pictures with them for school. Just pull Jeff Dunham up on you tube and you will find all kinds of his videos to watch. During covid, he was doing videos on how he creates his puppets and hand makes them in his work shop, really cool stuff, and on top of it all, he has twin boys! You should also check out his "collectable toys", like his life sized Frankinstein and other movie props... he is really interesting to watch, glad you enjoyed this one, have a great day!

"Arguing With Myself" is the title to one of his videos! and when Jeff first took out Peanut, you looked at him and tried to remember what the puppets on Sesame Street are called. Muppets, which another puppet of Jeff's, Jose Jalapeno On A Stick, accused Peanut of being a muppet reject! Jeff reset the talent bar for ventriloquists very high since he started doing this professionally! The first time I saw his act was when he debuted on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson back in the late 1980's, and I knew I was seeing greatness then! how he has grown in the last 40 years!

There's a video of Jeff talking about his childhood growing up and how he was very young when he started with puppets and every year of school, even all the way up into high school his school pictures would be with his puppets. Even family pictures done with him and his family would also have his puppet in them. LOL He makes jokes about it and even has pictures to back it all up.

Achmed the dead terrorist I think is the puppet that people like the most. Another very talented ventriloquist is Terry Fator. He won America's Got Talent in 2007 and was signed to perform in Vegas. I think he still has a show there. He is amazing. His puppets sing!

You HAVE to watch some of Jeff's videos with Walter. Everyone can relate to Walter as reminding them of some grumpy old man they know in real life. Bubba J. is Jeff's version of every stereotype of an American blue collar type from the south. Trailer park, beer drinking, low IQ, the works. Very offensive if you take it seriously. If you can see it as the parody it is (almost everybody does) Bubba J is hilarious.
