Great reaction to a great song! I can't help wondering what a couple of my buddies from the past would have thought about it, both of them are gone now unfortunately. Norval Way was a tailgunner on a B-24 in the 8th Airforce who "officially" flew 54 missions over occupied Europe. But from the stories he told me about dropping agents and supplies over Europe at night, I think he may have been seconded to the S.O.E. (Special Operations Executive). Probably 100 Group RAF. The other is Dale Johnson, 101st Airborne, who managed to make it through Normandy, Operation Market-Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge. Personally, I don't think the way things are headed is what these guys fought for! One thing I got from both of them is that they really appreciated you guys from the U.K. They could count on you, and you on them. Long may this be!!
