Those kicked ass, but they DID have other flavors. I think those were limited edition or for holidays or something, it's been 35 years since I had one, so my memory isn't the best on this subject, lol. But my favorite were the Butterscotch pudding pops. They were always a bit harder to find in stores, so I'd save my $5/week allowance money as a kid and buy them all when I found them, lol. It's possible those could have been another brand though, I don't really recall. You can make them yourself. Use the Jell-O brand instant pudding, use whole milk, and mix it in a blender with the milk chilled to 40°F (~4.5°C), so it sets up almost instantly, which gives you just a few seconds to pour into the molds, but that keeps it from forming huge ice crystals. Pistachio is a good flavor too if you're making you own, though I don't recall them selling that flavor in the popsicle form. You can also cut the milk a bit and add cream cheese, blend those together first into a slurry and than add the pudding for a richer flavor and more "Hard Ice cream" texture. If you want to go next-level with them: Make pudding pops as described above. Get them EXTREMELY cold. Then you get plain white bread. Use a cookie cutter to cut slices into rings, such that the inner circle is the same diameter are the pudding pop, and is 1" think all around. Stack these rings on the popsicle until it's completely covered. We're using the bread as an insulator so cover all of it, except for the stick. Return the pudding pops to the freezer for an hour or so, you want the bread to get hard. Then whip up an egg, ¼tsp ground clove, and ¼tsp (1ml) Almond Extract. Dip the bread-covered pudding pop in the egg mixture and then immediately into the deep fryer until it turns golden brown. Eat while still warm. The interior should remain frozen. Warning: If you don't cover the pudding pop entirely, the moisture will result in your frying oil splattering everywhere. Put on an apron, Do not attempt this in the nude, lol.

From a marketing point of view it makes sense. If a popular item stays out, people will eventually get tired of it. I think Jolt Cola advertising was all the sugar and twice the caffeine. This was before the time of 5 hour energy shots. I remember once on a cross crountry drive, I took some nodoze pills and washed them down with a couple Jolts colas . Had to stop driving because I was shaking so bad, but i was wide awake, never did that again lol

I grew up in the 80's and this video was very nostalgic. 1. The milk carton bubble gum was one of my favorites as a kid. The orange was the best. They are gum with a very thin coating of a candy shell. 2. The McRib is only seasonal now but the same time every year it's around for a limited time. That is probably my favorite McDonald's sandwich.

Coke has 50% more salt than Pepsi according to the nutrition label. But both are low (1 to 2% of daily allowance)

Potato skins are appetizers made by slicing a baked (jacket) potato in half , scooping out most of the potato flesh (I guess to use for mashed potatoes or something), topping with cheese & bacon crumbles, then putting them back into the oven to crisp a bit. They are quite good. The potato chip version was trying to capture that flavor profile in a baggable product.

Hey, if you like buffets. You should try the biggest in the world 🌎 it is in the Lancaster Pennsylvania area and called Shady Maple Smorgasbord. It's a huge building and on its lower floor it has the biggest gift shop as well. Great place to walk after you eat to work off the huge amount of food you eat at the buffet. Check it out it's a great place.

Pepsi in the US is very sweet. Maybe its salty flavored in the UK due to different ingredients? 😅 Sun-Maid Raisins are so good! I guess kids well after the 80s also enjoyed these because I loved them. Bacon flavored Cheetos sounds good! I wish they were still available. Cheerios is also available in the US...is produced in the US and Canada. Chewing gum comes in many shapes and sizes. 😅 McRibs usually comes out around November in the US. And I love McDonald's chicken nuggets. Cool Ranch Doritos are so good! And the bags look better than the 80s bags.

From What I have read, the McRib sandwich is what is called a "rotating special" meaning it comes and goes from McDonald"s with fluctuation in the Pork Market. When the wholesale Price of pork goes down, the McRib shows up on the menu after a delay. The Rib shaped pork portions can be found in the freezer section, under several brand names.

Poke a nail into the side of an unopened Coke, put duct tape over the nail to stop leaking, the nail will dissolve in about 4 days. I almost forgot, don't use a hammer to pound the nail into the side of the can, you can press it into the can with your finger.

I LOVE T.G.I. Fridays' potato skins!!! Lewis, if you like cheddar and bacon flavored chips/"crisps" then you would probably love them, too. I remember when McDonald's had premium chicken selects on its menu back around 2005. I don't know why it got rid of them, but they were SOOO much better than the regular nuggets. My guess would be that they cost too much to turn a profit, but that's just a guess. I have burned my mouth many times on Hot Pockets, despite blowing on the inside, and letting them cool for what I THOUGHT was a sufficient amount of time. 😄

Bazooka bubble gum was originally centered around a character called "Bazooka Joe" who was in the military and every time you unwrapped a piece of Bazooka bubble gum, there would be a Bazooka Joe comic inside the wrapper. The McRib is usually offered for a short window each year at US McDonalds. Every year my friends and I will compete to see who can be the first one to eat a McRib! 😝🤣

Oreos have been around since 1912. One of the best sandwiches was the Veal Parmiagiana at Burger King in 1982. Countless old timers like me would love to see them return. M and Ms were first sold in tubes to the US military since it allowed soldiers to have chocolate that wouldn't melt.

Oh I remember Bonkers. That watermelon one jolted my memory. If I remember correctly, the center was chewy, while the outer portion was like hard candy, but when you sucked on them for a while, you could chew the outer portion into the chewy part to give you the full flavor. I think that's how those worked, although I could be mixing them up with something else, after all, it's been 40-ish years ago. I'm a child of the 80s, if you can't tell. Born in 1973, but my most formidable years were in the 80s...we're talking Age 7 to 17, right? So yeah, this was my generation we're talking about here.
