Yup, in Sweden it is not unheard of people getting killed by moose. There was actually recently a case where a woman was killed by a moose who was protecting its calf. Unfortunately the moose had wandered in to a residential area and that was why the encounter happened.

@@xenialafleur A lot of predators will posture to convey a warning. It saves them wear and tear since an injured predator has a harder time surviving. That said, the bluff can turn into an attack if the predator feels cornered. Also, some animals do not bluff and will not back down from a confrontation.

An octopuses beak is able to penetrate the shell while it's radula (tongue) can access the meat. Strange as it is octopus have been known to do that and much more. They're quite intelligent. And that isn't the father bear walking with the cubs. That's the mother, the males have no hand in the upbringing and care of the offspring.

Nature is awesome, scary but awesome. Went camping with family once. We had most of the tents in one spot but my Aunt set up camp just down a small path. They get up one morning and ask us if we took their food from their truck that morning. That was big no, so we walked down to see what was up and found their cooler a few feet away from the tent. The OJ was busted open, the eggs cracked and it looks like the insides licked up, the bacon was ripped open and only the packaging was left. And all around this mess were bear tracks.

Bears generally aren't that sneaky, but they can move a lot faster than you'd think; they can and will outrun you, and they're exponentially stronger than you are. The thing about big cats is that they're ambush predators; if one of them was stalking you, you'd never know it until you were fighting for your life to get it off of you.

You need to be respectful of but not always afraid of wild animals. Here in Texas and the US South you're going to encounter animals, insects and arachnids that can be very dangerous. But you can mitigate that risk with situational awareness. For instance when you're fishing in areas where there are gators and they take your bait or run up out of the water at you then drop the damn fishing pole and run!! Both alligator and crocodile guys in this video did the one thing we were taught never to worry about which is your gear. I have a lot of expensive fishing gear but if an alligator wants it then he can have it!! I can replace a rod and reel a lot easier than an arm or a foot.

Hi Kabir... female moose do not have antlers, just like most other females in the family of animals that deer, moose, elk etc. fall in. The problem with that moose if you look closely was that she was recently a mommy and her two youngin's are standing by the fence. She was in her "protect the babies" mode with that bicycylist.

Yes that octopus will eat that crab, their beak will get through that shell in no time. Bears are dangerous and should be treated with respect but if you go out camping or hiking just remember that they want to avoid you as mush as you want to avoid them. Fall and spring are times to avoid as they are hunting for food, mating, and protecting their cubs. We were fishing along a river up in Republic Washington when a huge brown bear comes ambling along sniffing at the fish we had caught. I very slowly grabbed one and put it on the ground and the bear took it and lumbered away. Think I may have peed myself that time lol.

Wow. Great vid. Tossup between the mama bear with cubs and the moose (female moose don't have antlers) for scariest. Mama bears take no prisoners if they decide you're a threat to their cubs. Although I think the people in the most danger in this vid were the guy nearly et by a shark and the one who hooked an Australian freshwater croc (you could tell by his accent); they're also very dangerous. I suspect the smallish elephants acting up in this may have been teenaged boys - after they're kicked out from Mom's herd, which is all-female above a certain age, they can be a little rambunctious for a while until they find their place in the world. Gap year! Let's tip the humans out of their boat- wheeee! :D (Elephants are scary because they're big and if they ever DO throw a tantrum they're so strong, but I tend to feel a little better about them because they're so intelligent. Although just like humans, you can meet one with a bad attitude.)

My favorite part of this one was when you squealed the two times, once when the alligator kept getting closer to the guy, and when the lion broke through the cage! I've never heard your voice go so high, it was so cute! And yes Bulls can destroy a vehicle, being from Texas and living/being around horse and cattle ranches the first 20 years of my life, I've see some really pi**ed off Longhorn Bull destroy a couple jeeps and some old Chevy trucks. As for what you do when a 'gator bites your line and takes your hook...you just let him have it, cut the line and go about your way. The only way your getting that hook back would be to kill the gator and unless your going to eat it, there's no sense in that. I was also rather amused at the guys being chased/stalked by the cougars/mountain lions, I've live in NC near the Great Smokey Mountains for the last 22 years and we do have those hear, and while yes you do make noise and yell at a Black Bear and it will generally run off, and mountain lion or any big cat is treated totally different. You never turn your back to them, you don't yell at them, and you try to get away from them as quickly as possible without agitating them. A big cat can run 40+ miles per hour, so a human can't get away from it by outrunning it, and they chase you down, tackle you and immediately go for your neck to severe your jugular....so, calmly and quietly backing away as quickly as you can is your safest bet. That Moose was a female and had a baby right behind her....you never get near any animal with a baby by it, especially a big one, that Moose, with it's 800 - 1100 lb. mass can take a human out with no problem, no antlers needed. Love your reaction to this one, definitely a favorite!! 😊

Bulls can definitely flip a car or a tractor depending on how large they are and how much they want to show you their strength. And the cats chasing people are most likely doing so to drive the people away from where their cubs are. That's why the moose charged the person on the bike, you could see the babies by the fence. Also, I live in a big fishing area and I refuse to do it because I've seen so many people get hooked by flying hooks. My little brother had one go in so deep it had to be surgically removed. Not gonna lie thats one of my biggest fears, along with wasps and snakes lol

I live in the woods but I also respect that there are predators out here too. I rarely see any even though I have farm animals but that’s due to us owning a pair of mean ass donkeys. They’ll kick a mountain lion to death and not think twice about it. Plus I’m always armed when outside. I don’t really do so bc of the predators, it’s more so for taking care of pests but I’ve still got it if I do need to protect myself & I’m sure if I do, I’ll be extremely grateful for it.

Black bears, you can scare easily and they'll leave you alone. Grizzly bears you have to be patient, back away slowly and look large/be loud. Mountain lions - you don't want to be fast, but if you can it's a good idea to throw rocks or something at them. They don't want a fight, they want an easy meal. Moose - stay as far away from them as possible. They are not to be trifled with. They are faster and stronger than you might think - and HUGE. Living in Montana has taught me ALOT. Meanwhile, growing up in the southeastern part of the US taught me that gators are faster than you think.

And the gators are why you should consider having the biggest gun you can safely handle if you are going to be even next to water in Florida. Black bears without cubs can usually be startled and convinced to go away just by making loud noises. The other bear with cubs was not a black bear and that video could have ended up being a snuff film.

People frequently forget that nature is not all warm-n-cuddly animals. If you are not armed, you're the prey -- and honestly, even being armed only improves your chances, it doesn't guarantee a win.

Bulls are around the same weight as small suvs, so it makes sense they could lift one I’ve lived with horses my whole life, the key isn’t dont stand behind the horse, it’s don’t do so suddenly. If you start in eyesight then go around the back slowly you should be fine 5:20, that was a female moose protecting her young The advice for mountain lions is look big and scream, the more intimidating the better

For Javelinas here in the SW it's stand your ground and don't run. Stomp and bit and they go on their way. I've had them charge me because I walked past one of their young in the dark and I didn't know.

Octopus have an eating mechanism very similar to the beak of a bird and they will and do tear into the shells of crustaceans like crab.

Actually people outrun bears downhill, but that is the only exception. Regarding the bull, animals are so much stronger than people think. A silverback gorilla can lift up to 1810 kg or 4000 pounds.

As a farmer, you'd be surprised at how strong some animals can be. I've seen bulls tip over tractors before. They definitely deserve respect. Pure muscle and pure Testosterone. Same with rams and stallions. Humans are too soft when compared to these animals.
