What burns my a$$ about 'cheer mom' is that little girl clearly views that man as her daddy. Now she gets to find out that daddy is going to disappear from her life for whatever lying, trumped-up reason her lowbrow mama is going to feed her. I feel for that man who is trying to do right by the girl - past cheating aside - but my heart breaks for that poor child. Depending on how her mom spins this, it could skew her view of men for the rest of her life.

If I remember correctly the case around 13:00 was the state prosecutor arguing with the judge about the following. She had 2 cases with the same defendant, the first case was a DUI where the police officer was found to have lied and it was therefore dismissed. The second case was about the same driver being caught later for driving without a license. The reason for his lack of license was that it had been suspended due to the false DUI charges. The lady prosecutor wanted to proceed with the case anyway but the judge seeing how it would not have happened were it not for the false DUI decided to dismiss the case. He was asking the prosecuter if she was going to charge the police officer with perjury and she refused to do so.

I have had my uncomfortable times in courtrooms and being forced do deal with a judge from time to time, and over the years I have found that dealing with a judge is incredibly easy to do, when you arrive in the courtroom, you FIRST have to totally and completely understand, that in that courtroom, the JUDGE is the KING, and they quite metiforically and LITTERALLY makes the rules and enforce the law as they see fit, IF ANYONE can not understand this simple irrefutable fact, interacting with a JUDGE is NOT going to go well for you, secondly, BE QUIET. answer questions that are asked of you HONESTLY, nothing more or less. and lastly, when you are in a courtroom, YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE, and the JUDGE who IS IN CHARGE, has a great deal of power over what happens to you, you really should do EVERYTHING that you can to not piss off that judge!

The last clip where the woman was arguing with the judge... She wasn't a person representing herself, she was the Presecuting Attorney for the state. She was trying to presecute a police officer because a woman claimed he wrongfully arrested her. What made the judge so angry is that they discovered the woman perjured herself several times in her initial complaint against the officer AND in her official statement to the state. Yet despite that fact, the prosecutor was still wanting to be able to charge him with a crime. The judge was basically telling her, HELL NO. In the case with the child, what I don't understand is the mother was being such a horrible selfish witch because they broke up due to him cheating, but if the baby isn't his... Then obviously SHE cheated LONG before he did.

I have always believed that children should take precedent in couple discord. This I learned from my mom. My father chose not to be in my life and never did my mom ever speak bad about him or let me speak too bad about him. She let me get my feelings out when he disappointed me, but she wouldn’t let me talk crap about him. I think she did this with the continued hope that at some point this man would choose to finally be a part of my life and if it happened I wouldn’t be carrying around all that negativity. I’m 53yrs old and I still don’t have much of a relationship with my dad, but my mom still doesn’t say bad things about him.

The last case had you confused but here is what happened. The woman wasn't defending herself...she was the prosecutor. The judge went against her because the cop who had the man's license suspended had lied on a sworn statement. The judge realized it and the prosecutor said he made a simple mistake. The judge started seeing that cop had made that several times regarding that case. That's why he said it sounded fishy. He refused to allow the state to continue on a lie that the cop had sworn was true.

12:45 the person the judge is angry at is the prosecutor who illegally allowed the defendant's drivers liscence to be suspended because the cop committed perjury. The judge is asking why the prosecutor is not criminally charging the cop for his crimes but still trying to put the defendant in prison because of the suspended liscence that should never have been suspended in tne first place. This prosecutor was actually found in contempt of court for arguing with the judge and refusing to prosecute the cop for lying under oath. The judge also went as far as to inform the prosecutor's office and the police chief that from that day forward he would be automatically dismissing all charges in anycase involving the prosecutor or cop that appear before his court.

I understand that the adverse parties go on the show having signed an arbitration agreement binding them to the award that the arbitrator makes. I also understand the arbitration agreement has (at least for the Judge Judy show) a clause that will require the production studio to pay any award the arbitrator makes. Arbitration is an alternative to litigation it is normally quicker, cheaper and private. I am not sure on US law but I know the USA is a signatory to the New York Convention which sets up the process for enforcement of arbitral awards. I don’t know how it will work should a party impacted by the decision should wish to have the award judicially reviewed by a court in the USA. At least where I live, you cannot contract out of having the award judicially reviewed if process was not followed correctly.

I feel for the man that found out he was not the father. I felt like slapping sense into the mom, and I am not a violent person. The judge was right, too, so many times you see the man wanting to rid themselves of any parental responsibility, and then you see this poor fellow, who is heartbroken that he isn't the father. I in no way justify the cheating but, the mom should at least think about what is best for her daughter. Plus, it appears this went to court because, as mentioned, he cheated on her, but.... him not being the father means she cheated as well... Pot, Kettle? . If she wants to separate, go ahead, but don't be vindictive and most likely take away the only father figure your daughter had had in her life. My cousin, bless her heart, had her only father figure taken when her mom found another man and flat out told her now ex that she was never his kid and never let him see her again. My cousin was to little to understand what was going on at that time, or why her "dad" abandoned her. My aunt told her lies and so my cousin grew resentment towards him and hated him for years. It wasn't until years later that she found out the truth. She was furious and so sad about it all. Needless to say, she now has a very strained relationship with her mom, who always jumped from guy to guy throughout the years, hence she never again had a father figure. To this day my cousin has not been able to find and get in touch with the man she once called "Dad" but hopefully one day she will. She says she always thinks about how things would have been with him still in her life when she was growing up.

I had a small court case, and the judge wouldn't let me finish. Cutting me off every time. The one second I made a "Really?!" face, I was in contempt. I said "you let violent people go, but when YOU get a tiny bit disrespect you're awake". I didn't make friends there. Judges should be forced to live near the people, they let go so easy. When it's their daughters at the bus stop, things change fast. The slightest facial expression can set judges or police off. While letting street robbers go, with a fine.

The first one was a domestic violence case that the husband had a protection order filed against his wife. That hearing was to decide if it was permanent or not. These types of hearings you don't need an attorney, she was there representing herself.

In the 2nd case, she was the prosecutor. Not a civilian. Judge is not accepting 'mistake'--the officer lied. The judge ramped it up insisting that there would be a trial to learn if the cop lying resulted in the woman losing her license for months. There will be aftermath, for sure. The prosecutor told the judge she was not bringing the officer up on perjury charges. So he is taking it all the way down the line, and likely a civil lawsuit will be filed against the city after the woman succeeds in the criminal case. Clearly the DA office (higher than this ADA) will need to do some dancing. While this appears pretty mundane, it is proper scary how 1 cop with an issue about 1 civilian can upend one's life.
