My grandpa, at 72 or 73, had a massive stroke after some college prick hit him. My mom wanted to look for him and beat his ass in return. I couldn’t understand why anyone would hit my grandpa, he was such a kind man. Its been close to 25 years since he passed.

I’m sure it’s different in the UK but you can legally film people in public here, regardless if they ask you not to. What you can’t do is physically assault someone because they took your picture. I stay armed and a lot of other Americans do as well. These people are playing with fire when they lay hands. Ask people to leave if it’s a private area or retreat to a private area if you don’t want to be filmed. UK government films you on every street corner. I don’t see people over there losing their minds over that.

In the United States, there is no expectation of privacy while you are out in public meaning they have every right to film people in public. I'm not saying the pranksters are in the right, because I agree they are children running around pretending to be adults. The "men" committing assault and battery on the pranksters (with possible attempted thieft and false imprisonment could be argued on the second and third vid.) are not in the right either. They (the ones being filmed) opened themselves up to civil litigation and could be charged criminally. In my opinion they should have stayed calm and recorded the pranksters harassing them so that only the pranksters face the consequences. People need to stop getting their legal knowledge from Hollywood and do the actual research themselves. It's not like the laws are secreted away and only available to lawyers and judges. Think about it, the ultimate prank: letting the pranksters, prank their way into jail. Seems better to me then beating them up and ending up in jail myself.

So that 2nd vid wasn't a prank video. Dude was doing what's called a first amendment audit. We can get into a debate about them being good or bad blah blah blah, but what he was doing was perfectly legal, it wasn't harassment, the husband got arrested, and this is the problem with cutting out parts of the video.

I have had people freak out because they thought I was taking their picture because I sometimes hold my phone up and close to my face because my vision is not great. If one of those people had gotten violent with me, I might be in jail and they’d be dead. Consider this as a public service announcement because I know Kabir has international viewers. Assaulting people in America is like playing Russian roulette.

As angry as you were Kabir. This guy probably had that old man who physically assaulted him arrested and put in jail. Because if that was indeed a publicly funded building, aka a public building, then he had every legal right to film people there. As long as it's not private or property and you've been asked to leave by the owner or his representative. Because the law clearly states that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. So no, the KZbinr needed nobody's permission to film them and they had no legal right to even touch him much less assault him. Then he was well within his rights and what that older gentleman did was legally assault which is an actual crime. This KZbinr obviously didn't defend himself because he wanted his video to show clearly that he was never physical with anyone there and all his " crying " as the narrator put it. Was nothing more than him making it a part of the record for his coming lawsuits of the injuries he suffered as a result of being illegally assaulted by that ignorant gentleman who fell right into his trap.

Well even tho they got what they deserved in the first clip they can sue them for assault because they Kit them and their camera equipment so that’s 100% illegal so ya… Like I said they deserved it but 2 wrongs don’t make a right. As for the second clip the cammer was an ass but completely in the right so if the police got called the husband is probably going to jail for assault. For the 3rd video idk why it’s here the Camera guy is 100% in the right and just got assaulted so ya… and sure he’s a ass but he can 100% sue them and probably press criminal charges on them. The 4th one is fine it’s private property so the Cameras people are in the wrong and because he was up in his face he could definitely use self defense to justify the hit. That is a settled Supreme Court ruling. That's why the police can use traffic cameras. It's why a business can aim a security camera at the sidewalk outside their store. It's why I can go to a park and record my kid's birthday party without having to get written permission from everyone at the party AND anybody in the background before making the recording. In the video of the polling place, that polling place became a public place, even if it was a private property, the moment it was deemed a polling place. Furthermore, it became a polling place because it WANTED to. I've actually voted in the garage of private homes because that citizen wanted to participate in our democracy. Good for them. However, along with taking on that duty, they also took on all that goes with it, both good and bad. Every state has it's own laws about how and when a recording can be made at or near a polling place. Every one of those laws is meant to prevent intimidation or prevent electioneering at the polling place. The goal is to maintain the sanctity of the vote. Just because some old man got his feelings hurt by being recording is immaterial as far as the basic act of recording. Now, if the person making the recording is going out of their way to provoke a reaction of the person being recorded, that is a different matter entirely. Still, unless the camera guy has gone physical the old fart had absolutely no right to go hands on. I would suggest that you educate yourself on our laws. You would be surprised to learn that the U.K. has many similar laws when it comes to things like recording in public. If you want a crash course I would suggest you plug "1st Amendment audit" into KZbin's search bar and binge for a day.

Actually. At least here in the United States you can film anyone or anything in a public space or from a public right of way like from a road, sidewalk or even inside a public building. ( Any taxpayer funded buildings like Post Offices and Courthouses. Except where posted restriction signs are posted. ) A lot of these KZbinrs get hundreds of thousands of dollars every year in lawsuits alone when they are either assaulted by other Americans ignorant of the actual language of the First Amendment. Or, and mostly by law enforcement officers who are likewise ignorant of constitutional rights. Many City governments have had to pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars just because of these types of ignorant public employees or police officers. I can almost guarantee you that all these people who actually got physical with these pranksters and the police who arrested them. Have been or are currently being sued for a lot of money and or prosecuted for assault. I don't agree with the vast majority of these dumbass pranksters but unless they physically harm someone or actually damage or destroy private property. Legally you can not touch them just for filming and or speaking. Because that all falls under every Americans First Amendment rights. So truly these guys could care less if their videos get demonetized for violent content. Because the lawsuits that result from the violence has the potential to pay them multiple times more for their efforts.
