I remember that game. He was like a Timex watch, he takes a liking and keeps on ticking. The coach should pulled him out for his own health and safety

Thought about this game today and had to look for the highlights. Thanks for making this. That dude almost died and they just kept throwing it to him. I couldn’t believe it.

I got a Lotta respect for that kid, he showed a lot of heart. His coaches definitely weren’t doing him any favors or looking out for him at all. He should’ve been taken out a while ago.

Tough kid. I remember his dad at qb for byu. My favorite play of Britain covey ever is that punt he faked the defender into thinking it was going long.

Am a Husky fan. But much respect to Covey; man he can play. Utah has got a real nice team too. They are like Washington State in that if WSU had more defense they would be able to play up with Washington or beat us; but in Utah's case it is they need more offense. That coach for Utah I do not know. Because man you are putting your player at risk, when using a QB that you had there as making some of those passes to Covey; Covey is such a great player he caught the passes, even though he were going to get munched. The QB hung him out to dry a too often. Cost the guy the rest of the season. And they didn't have Covey in their bowl game. Covey injured like that at the end of the year. It is unneeded. If the Utes would have had Covey they would have beat Northwestern in their bowl game, they missed him. Go Utes! Be Proud, you have a good team! But Washington definitely were here lacking offense last year. If Washington had any passing game, we beat Ohio State, handily. Heck if you guys had more offense you beat the UW in this game, for sure. Good luck next year there Mormons. What in the heck were that QB doing. He never looked off anyone. Leaving his player vulnerable.

I can't believe how selfish Kyle Whittingham was keeping him in the whole game. What a heartless coach.

doesn’t look like head to head contact targeting but it seams like every time he got the ball they would purposely hit harder

I hope the fans at the end were booing the Utah sideline for keeping Covey in the game. Washington showed they are a vastly more physical team than Utah. I'm sure Covey will sit next year's game out.

I am a Husky fan, but I hope Covey makes a play or two in a loss to UW... I hope he gets a moment after how tough he was in the loss earlier this year. I might be crazy.

Huntly hated Covey it seems so he tried to get him killed with hospital ball after hospital ball.

Deb Fawn the problem is that Troy Taylor doesn't teach his QBs to read defenses, my understanding is that he just teaches them to make their reads, which causes two problems. The first, you'll never prepare an NFL QB like that. Second, they don't know where the defenders are on the field, and when you play a disciplined and physical team like Washington, you can put your guys in very real danger. Covey got destroyed in both games against them this year, I would hope Whitt would put his player first and keep him out next time. He just doesn't have the size to compete with the guys that Washington has.
