Ants in the trees, woodpeckers on the ground, what's next? The kingfisher footage was indeed crispy, no crunch, excellent work as usual! Plus you're getting mighty close to 100, much excite!

Are you sure thats a raven? Looks more lime a crow to me.
@CreatureChroniclesUKАй бұрын
Hmm, I was wondering the same thing but I decided to trust this app that I use called Merlin that identified its call as being a raven. It did seem quite big though, what makes you think it's a crow in particular?
@Elko627Ай бұрын
I mean, the beak and the face looks like a crow, in the video the size appears to be crow size and much smaller than a raven and it's movements are swift like a crows movements. I mean, it's everything about it really. But if you heard it's call, it shouldn't be a guessing game, they sound nothing alike.

@@CreatureChroniclesUK Merlin can be extremely erroneous, it is better to go onto xeno canto and compare for yourself. Could easily be raven, to me I have to agree that its face does look crowish- especially because the bristles do not go as far down the bill as they usually do. I have a pair that has been nesting in my area for about three years and I have become pretty familiar with their behaviours and appearance. Behaviour is strange, most ravens I've seen the UK are exceptionally unapproachable. I had a pair that would not go near their nest if you were within 30 meters of it- in order to see them enter the nest I had to hide inside of a bush.
