Have you ever considered a Pico-psu for these htpc builds ? most of them are 120-180w and are enough if you don't plan on installing a dedicated gpu. The high-end picos can reach 250-400w, they are slightly larger but still slim and it is a great way to save space and clear cables mess.

nice case. the bracket for ssd's do not restrict airflow, because the outer cover does not have holes for ariflow where the ssd bracket is located

i am trying to find hardware recommendations for HTPC to run 4k content to a Sony 75x85kk TV at 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1, etc.

Nice sort of setup Brian and it is good that you show what I think of really great brands for the components. Actually I am not a fan (no pun) of mini PC's but this looks good for me at least because I could configure the setup by making a few upgrades to the components or by swapping them out for a better specified component. Now the only thing with this build that would not impress me is any loud fan noise. Otherwise mate again a nice setup👍👍

Nice pc Don't see many people building htpc's. Apart from ETA prime. I love the older htpc cases that look like hifi's with remote's & small lcd displays.

My Mini pc made with ryzen 5 5700G is still going strong. No need for replacement here.

Would the case fans not be more useful as case extraction fans rather than fighting the CPU fan which is drawing cool air in and across the cpu
@Britec097 ай бұрын
No, because there is no intake and plenty of ventilation vents

Nice build, but it strikes me as using a sledge hammer to crack a walnut for a home theatre PC. You could spend a ton less and have a machine that would do the job and use less power and likely run cooler, too. Still, thanks for the video.

I would return that case and get a larger size, that case looks like it's going to cause the PC to burn up.

Unfortunately this video has made me cringe the whole time while he was stuffing the wires all over it. That's not how you build a PC by suffocating it. 🙄
