@voicesinmyhead69 no, u need to press the button to turn it on. It does 'pair' the bluetooth to my phone automatically without me doing any settings on the phone(after the initial pairing)

I don't use it anymore because both my cars now have bluetooth in the radio unit, but the unit shown in this video worked well for me for some time.

yes, like use the bb on the speakers you want to use, and have the laptop connect via bluetooth and stream its audio through the bb connected speakers? Yes, all you do is connect the Britelink bluetooth receiver to your speakers, put it in pairing mode, then pair your laptop to it. Then your laptop should play it's audio through the bb connected speakers.

yes it can be charging and used at same time.

The blackberry stereo gateway auto turns on when power is applied. Mine is in a storage compartment so all I ever have to do is start playing music on my phone when I get in the car. The BB gateway is usually more expensive than $30.

Hi. I purchased this recently but when I tried it, no sound has come out from all the audio devices I have tried. Would you by any chance know what the problem might be?

where is the USB in my car? I don't want cords and such going from my cigarette lighter plug in my car to the device always. The point of this device is to remain cord free and less cluttered. I drive quite often, and use this device every time I am in my car, and I only find myself having to charge it about twice a month. When I do charge it, I just plug into my cigarette lighter port for an hour or so, and it's good to go for another couple weeks.

I looked into the Blackberry stereo gateway that jdnuhdfdf mentioned in the comments and it appears that for $10 more, you can leave the device plugged into USB so never have to worry about charging it, and it pairs automatically so you don't have to mess with it every time you get in the car. Why would you use the Britelink?

I noticed the one you have is a 006. I have a 001, and while it used to work great, now all i get is a solid purple light. I tried to pair it with my phone again but no luck. I also was wondering if u have tested the range at all. I use it on a sailboat. I ran a cable from the stereo below, to the cockpit. Sometimes it can get pretty wet up here. Bottom line, I love it an will probably get a new one.

nice idea! I found also that there is a more compact device like an USB dongle with Jack Audio output. power supply through the USB port.
@floridayank2213 жыл бұрын
nice, i still have the long cord and it does not bother me to use it but it would of been nice to have that when i was a truck driver so i could play music from my bunk without draging the cord back there.

you can use this while it chargers.

Great review thanks. Suggestion maybe you should stick this thing to available surface on your dash using double sided tape of Velcro?!

Do you think it is possible for me to use this as a wireless guitar system? You know, have a transmitter rigged to the guitar via 3.5mm to 6.5mm adapter and hook the receiver up to the amp via a 3.5mm to 6.5mm adapter.

Will this unit turn itself on when power is applied to the charging port? I'm looking for one that can be semi-permanantly installed, out of sight (my stereo auxiliary jack is inside a storage compartment).

My car I've modded the standard stereo to take AUX behind the dash, so I keep it charging behind the dash all the time! Pretty neat!

Get a Bluetooth receiver that plugs into the cigarette lighter plug. Stays charged, and doesn't hang annoyingly on ur dash. Same price bout 30 -40. They usually have an aux input in em as well and has the 3.0 USB charger ports. No interference at all as well, sounds as crisp as anything.

I didn't want to waste a plug using one of those. This worked great while I used it in this vehicle!

I used a piece of double sided tape and just stuck it in place.

Can this unit be plugged into the charger all the time without any bluetooth connection loss? For example, every time you power on and off the car with the charger connected, the bluetooth adapter doesn't cycle off everytime.
@earthling19846 жыл бұрын
I wish I could answer this, but, I don't recall. It's been many many years since I used this. It did work great! But, I can't recall if it works while plugged in or not.

So update on the adapter it’s a lot cheaper now and you can buy this device at dollar stores that’s if you can find one it ranges about 1.99 and up it’s a very useful device and awesome video

more work than an AUX plug, where u just plug it in and no charging requires, only reason i'm interested in this is because some cars have their AUX plug within the glove compartment of the passenger side.
