✈Awesome video of this B.A, day in the life., of behind the scenes. Was impressed to watch all the people involved in the running of a airline during our changing time's.The Boeing 787 Dreamline is a work of art in a flying machine, i remember when i was a kid how much i loved the BOAC Boeing 747 and it's outside painted livery look., i have been on B.A back in 1986 / 1987 from LHR to the U.S in business class & economy.

The answer to your question is: The guy in this video. 'Cheap Seats Cruz' was the worst thing to happen to BA in years. He cut, slashed and ruined the carrier with his policies having many flee from the carrier. Forcing fares up to cover lower pax #s as he raced to provide a LCC service with full service carrier pricing. I think it was nearly universal amongst passengers & staff the joy when he left. Although with the coof then showing up it's doubtful it'll ever recover things fully. (( NOT to say BA hadn't made mistakes before he came along. Simply that he opened those wounds deeper and worse))

Ahhh I miss the 747s, shame they have retired now, I remember when I used to see these beauties fly over my house, now it is all being scrapped, Ba should keep the 747 next to the Concorde at Heathrow. I remember going on G-BNLL to Delhi and G-CIVE and also G-BYGB and G-BYGA when I went to go to LA. I was meant to go on G-BYGG when we were going to Mexico City but it got cancelled in 2017

I completely agree. I remember the pre-Schengen flights in Europe with proper food and silver wear. Then everything when downwards. Since 9/11 you can't even bring your own stuff. If I wanted a Sandwich, I go to Subway. Plus you can't just pay cash on a lot of Airlines. Second, Airlines do not consider how much you have actually already traveled. When I fly to Europe (I live in the States and not too far away from a big Airport) the Adventure still takes close to 24 hours until you arrive at your destination. Flying is an absolute hassle. I used to have quite a few frequent flyer miles and even flew Concorde. Today, nothing gets me on a Plane, unless there is absolutely no alternative. I can understand that for the Holiday Makers, it may still be exciting. On my end, I wear shoes without laces, so I get through security as fast as possible. If one travels frequently, that is an absolutely annoying process. Same is Passport Control at a lot of Airports where you can't sit down anywhere or get any refreshments and the wait can be long and you are already tired and upset.

I can't help but wince when a European airline goes for Boeing rather than Airbus. I realize that there are many factors to consider, but still can't help it...
@edwardfrench9925
@edwardfrench9925 Жыл бұрын
Boeing are cheaper and every airline likes the ability to play one off against the other. BA used to be exclusively Boeing for longhaul and assumed they got a great deal as a ‘preferred’ customer…until seeing what American carriers were paying. Anyhow, having flown both, I am not one little bit disappointed that I’ll never fly a Boeing again…if I can help it. Airbus is a superior product and this is reflected in the purchase and operating costs.

BA thinks Customer Satisfaction is an important customer metric?? It is proven that 'satisfied customers' defect! They are measuring the wrong thing. They need to ask one question only: How likely are you to recommend BA to a friend or business colleague? Then measure the Net Promoter Score. It is required teaching at Harvard university. This was clearly pre-covid, BA does not fly to 200 cities around the world now. From the opening 60 seconds you could see masses of people crammed together at Heathrow and not a mask in site. The end credits say 2019. BA in 2021 is not remotely the BA of 2019, as in this documentary. All a documentary like this is useful for now days, is to remind us of the travel freedom we used to have.
