Thank you so much for uploading this. I never tire of these flight videos, and in hi def it is almost like being on board. I've never been able to afford anything other than economy so this is also a treat! Am I alone in thinking these newer RR engines make a strange 'grinding' noise? On a recent flight back from Germany they sounded strained like this, and it seems odd that the manufacturer wouldn't try to solve that problem. Having said that, I appreciate it is when they are under tremendous strain.

@657BlueArmy That sound is perfectly normal. It is the sound of the huge fan (compressor) at the front forcing enormous volumes of air rearward through guide vanes. Sounds a bit like a huge siren! At the start of take off you can see the fog in the engine intakes cause by the extreme suction.

Keeping fingers and everything crossed that nothing goes wrong but my friend and I are travelling club class to Africa in July. I always fly club but my friend never has so a bit of a treat for her. We have already got our seats allocated and are up stairs, I have checked out which seats they are and am quite happy. Love this video and will probably send it to my friend.

The new club class is nowhere near as good as on the old BA 747. Up stairs had only 24 private seats, new club class is a bit like cattle class. I must admit I now prefer AA when I fly to the USA, so much better than BA.

coltsuperocean10 Thanks for that, maybe I'll try for an upgrade to first LOL.....I have just looked at seatguru and it is showing 20 seats upstairs, we have got 61K 61J, are you saying SG is incorrect? what ever its like it has to be better than economy, I had a bad accident some time ago (got hit by a car) and I need to be able to put my legs up as I had a very nasty break.

AmberPanda From personal experience, Club World is very good and would recommend it. BA 747 have started to retire therefore would not be economical to install the refurbished interior whereas their 77W, 787 and A380 comes with the new interior. You should try thebasource.com to compare seats as it's more accurate and includes all variants, e.g. some BA 777 have 14 first class seats and some have 12 first class seats.

B.A. Club World on the B747 (which I use fairly regularly) is great and the food excellent. This video didn't show the general layout, type of seating/flat bed etc. There are probably airlines with slightly better service (not the ones I've used) but overall it's a good experience.

Excellent video Zuhair, very impressed with the job you did! I had the privilege of flying BA's first class on the upper deck of a 747 between London and Boston back in 2006 due to a cancellation in my flight to my hometown airport, and it was by far and away the best experience I had ever had on a plane ride. I already love flying just because I'm an aviation enthusiast, so to have the added benefit of top notch service only enhanced the experience. How'd you find your experience? Additionally, how was Heathrow's Terminal 5? I've never been in it before so I'm a bit curious.

I personally loved the whole experience including the polite cabin crew, food and the comfort of my seat. T5 is a really good terminal as it is very open and modern. Plenty of natural sun light enters the terminal which is a great touch

I get used to it as a, frequent flyer. The most powerful wing wobble occurs over the atlantic close to the Azores and over the Andes when dying into Peru or Colombia. And it wobbles everything including the engine mounting looks scary and you might think ohh please don't tear apart now.

As much as I love upgrades, the disparity between the cost of tickets is ridiculous. Even though I am a legacy and flew a lot, I wonder how the people stupid enough to buy full fare first class seats, ever got so much money. It really is a waste. On international flights, it does get old in three across seating but for domestic flights, it isn't bad.

How come that most of the latest movies ,lets say, in a 30 minutes recording, the footage of the actual flight is only 5 minutes, but most of it is sitting on the tarmac, taxi, and when in flight it shows the food for minutes on end, as if nobody has ever seen a plate of food and after landing it shows mostly the taxi and stopping at the gate. Pretty boring and totally ridiculous. More than 50 % has nothing to do with the actual flight.
