British Airways A380-800 inaugural Landing at YVR

For the first time in nearly a decade, the Airbus A380 touched down at Vancouver International Airport. This is YVR's first service from the aircraft and also marks the 35th anniversary of BA in Vancouver. The aircraft landed on the south runway or 26L, which is a bit unfortunate as if it were to land on the north runway I would of had a better view of it. I assume that it will land on the north runway sooner than later, and will try to catch it when it happens! Filmed May 1 2016.

YUL was served by the a 380 until october 2012 with Air France but the airline decided to remove it due to the low load factor in business class.

AF is having a problem in YUL to filout their planes. I don't how is AF doing YYZ and YVR but they are not planning to send the a 380 outhere.

Yeah I'm glad too last time when I flew to YVR in October 2014 we flew in a 747 400 with British Airways and it was a old shabby airplane and I'm glad that British Airways flies the A380 to YVR now.

They likely gave them 26L because, at 11,500 feet, it's the longest runway at YVR. 26R is only 9,940ft. Thanks for sharing the video...I missed it because I was flying back from San Francisco.
