British Airways asks Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford what their biggest holiday bugbears are

As millions of us hit the beach this summer, we like to think it will all be sunshine and smiles, but going away with your loved one is often littered with petty annoyances.
In a recent poll by British Airways the airline revealed the habits people found most annoying when going on holiday with their partners.
The top bugbears for men was their partner over-packing (19 per cent), shopping at the airport (13 per cent) or their other half opting for English food instead of local cuisine (11 per cent).
Women find having to pack their partner’s case (16 per cent), their loved one’s refusal to use sun cream (15 per cent) or wasting time hunting for WiFi (14 per cent) the most annoying part of going away with their partner.
When it comes to holiday hunting, half the population (50 per cent) take ‘a few days’ to research and book a holiday, however a third (29 per cent) of people will undertake weeks of endless investigating. Women are twice as likely to research and book a holiday (40 per cent) rather than men (20 per cent). Affordability is the largest factor (69 per cent) in deciding a holiday.
This Morning power couple, Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes - who have been married since 2010 - revealed what they find most irritating about going on holiday together. Eamonn said: “Ruth gets to the airport far too early. I like to get to the airport and get straight on the plane but my lovely wife spends hours shopping for things she already has piled high in the five suitcases she is taking for a long weekend away!”
Ruth added: “Eamonn dresses well in the UK but as soon as he’s abroad, out comes the Hawaiian shirt, the pork pie hat and the hideous croc sandals. However, nothing is more annoying than the time we spend wandering around trying to find an Irish bar so he can watch the United game!”
