The way you phrase it is like the turn-based = easy and boring, while it is just what hoyoverse games are (which is expected, it is for casuals after all).

It's the "composite modes" I mentioned above ;) Similar to photoshop, you can put different modes like "Overlay", "Screen", "Darken", etc... I bet there will be tons of tutorials for you on YT😁
