Looks like DM J. Cook gestured to @Military Events to move a little at 0:56, so he could signal the Cut-Off.

Thank you. I like the way you get up close to the band while keeping in step as you do the recording. A long way from your usual territory, in London. Wishing you success with this channel. A great performance by the band.

Superb video. Thanks for an excellent view of the band and I like the way you look into the Tuba bell at one stage, making us think we're actually witnessing this personally. I've often commented about this particular Drum Major and I still think he's a great asset to this Band with his military perfection, bearing and performance. The music is perfect. Well done to all the musicians for a long blow and great musicianship and especially the Drum Major's "regal" marching ... Absolutely Excellent !!

Pardon? The DM is at least half a beat ahead of the step most of the time.
@supernutkin5122 Жыл бұрын
@@rmbandy835 In actual fact, you are correct. Hadn't actually viewed it by checking that. Yes, some of the time he does seem a little ahead of the beat but not actually out of step. I've watched this guy on many videos and this has to be the first time I've seen that. You're "RM Bandy" so guess you're a (former) ? Royal Marines Musician ?

Second March at 3.16 is 'Steadfast and True' by Carl Teike, one of my faves, it's a corker. Great band!
@delvinrodriguez3341 Жыл бұрын
Hello! The march "Steadfast and True" also known as "In Treue Fest" isn't played in this video. The march starting at 3:20 onwards is actually "The King's Guard" by George H. Willcocks.

Why are they marching so slow? This feels about 20 bpm too slow!
@militaryevents107 Жыл бұрын
This is rather normal these days, but there are veterans behind the band so it’s probably a bit slower than usual!

The standard quick march pace is 116 bpm, around 2 paces per second which is what they are doing
