If I'm correct, the governor general is essentially acts as the proxy for the queen since we're still under British Commonwealth but the queen doesn't sign off on laws the governor general signs off on laws and signs off the new prime Minister.

The governor general is the representative of the Queen ( of the UK) who is also the head of state in Australia, so they sign bills just as she technically does here. Each Australian state has its own constitution

You got the aboriginal flag wrong. It's red, yellow and black. If I'm correct I think the red represents the land, yellow the sun and black the people.
