They are all heroes but There is an untold story. Ben Reymenants (from Belgium) and Maksym Pokejaka (fom Ukraine) were the very first divers to enter in the cave AFTER chamber 3. Both divers tied the ropes up to Chamber 9 very close to Pataya Beach. The British basically "stopped" in the Chamber three and showed up three days later and took over. Ben and Maksym were swept away. However the Thai seals know the truth. " As soon as someone is identified as an unsung hero, he no longer is"

@@lilig7469 Incorrect on every level. The Thai seals were the first ones into the cave. Ben didn't make it past the T junction so no way near Pataya beach. He also upped and left before the rescue even started (something you have conveniently failed to mention). Maksym stayed behind to help out while Ben took off. You also don't mention the incredible risk he was willing to put everyone including the boys and the divers in rushing to get them out literally straight away. You also don't give any credit to either the doctor Richard Harris or the vet Craig Challen who both ultimately allowed the rescue to occur.

Zero mention of the two Australian divers involved, one of which provided the anaesthetist expertise that made saving the boys lives actually possible.

Because this was an interview with the two British divers 🙄 there was no personal mention of any of the 5,000+ people who helped in the rescue. It’s an interview about THEIR experience. Get a grip

The boys are interviewed on Ellen (American tv) where there’s no mention of Brits, Aussies, Yanks…etc. so don’t worry about it. Storyville documentary on BBC is excellent

You know, this rescue was a truly international world-wide effort. I'm your indignant rush to point out that they didn't mention the Australians involved, you sure didn't mention any of the other countries involved. So i think you are as guilty of whatever you're accusing them of.

Interesting that two middle aged men could do what extremely fit Navy SEAL 20 year olds couldn't. Shows the importance of decades of experience.

Cave diving is an extremely specialist skill. Unless you are specifically trained to cave dive its very likely you are going to die trying to dive in a cave. It doesn't matter if your a navy seal or batman.

Navay seal couldn't do it because they were experts in open water combat specialist... they were never a rescue specialist. Although they managed to tie ropes and put oxygen cylinders all over cave. Not to mention 2 Navy Seals with 1 doctor stayed with boys till last Survivor rescued

You should watch the doc The Rescue on Nat Geo (on Prime now I think) if you haven't already. It follows all of these men and more. I think these two were the focus because they spearheaded the details of the rescue itself. I believe it was Rick who came up with the actual unprecedented idea to put them under to swim them out. He was the one who called on his Australian doctor friend Richard Harris who ended up being the one to administer the drugs. It makes sense that they're the focus. In my eyes too they're all heroes. but also, it says in the doc that these two were the ones who ran the rope, so not sure who actually did it!

YES, Ben, Maksym, the other 3 guys, all close friends and the Thai seals. These guys deserved all credits to open the way to save the kids. The British divers had already given up and in a interview to the press, they said they're considering leaving the place. They are all heroes but the main part of the story were "deleted".

The British divers took all the credit, when there were others who laid the lines for them to reach the children through the pitch dark muddy water. They succeeded because of a bunch of other divers who took the risk to lay the lines when they gave up. Watch the documentary -13 lost. Credit should have been given to the ones who laid the foundation for this rescue mission not just the British divers & the docs. I'm just saddened by how human nature can be so deceptive🙁

BUT the ropes were laid by Ben 🇧🇪 and Maksym 🇫🇷. And it was BEN who suggested to use the face mask for the boys. The British laughed at his face!! Shocking. The English will NEVER be ever to find the boys on their own, without the red ropes.

There were many many unnamed heroes that contributed to the success of this project. But movies and documentaries have limited budget, no one is undermining unnamed ppl. Also in a complex operation like this, there will be lots of disagreement and reactions as they problem solve. There is no need to put down any one in this story 😂

These Brits aren’t the heroes. The men that laid the guide ropes are the heroes. The Brits were opportunists. They gave up and left because they were scared, then showed back up after the real dangerous work had been done. They followed the path paved by Ben and Maksym. Arrogance is not a trait of the truly heroic …

they have literally talked about this before. they still did dangerous work and were incredibly brave. the rescue was a united effort and involved more than just laying guide ropes. they all played their roles and it’s not a competition. to call them opportunists is insane if you know the facts.
