The only thing I can think of is that they felt British kids would be able to relate more to characters that share their accents. Bob the Builder is a show that has American and British versions too.

The Pajama Man cartoon sounds way better! These British cartoon voice actors did a good job making the cartoon show dialogue sound more natural. Unfortunately most of the dialogue delivery of all the other characters is much worse

Seems kinda pointless to dub a game that's already in English :P Also, I can imagine that it was rather expensive to hire the new voice actors rather than just using the original voice

Actually it is Brittish English for United Kingdom. Needless to say, the original uses American English, so it's a bit tricky for americans to do proper english (brittish) accents.
