I would personally have a smaller home with more land to it for privacy. In states like Texas and Florida, a Huge selling point is having impact resistance or hurricane windows. In Lancaster County Pennsylvania the median price of a house is $382,000.

League City is about 30 minutes north of Galveston Island that sits in the Gulf of Mexico. Houston is about 30 minutes north of League City.

League City is about 25 mins away from me, and it is such fun! The famous Kemah Boardwalk is located there....and it, along with nearby Galveston...is where a lot of us Houston area residents go to have fun.....❤ Jenni from Houston

Just a bit of an odd layout. Not too bad though. League City will get it's share of hurricanes. You may not have all the space of the US but you have all the Character & Charm (innit?). That place in August would be a furnace. Best to keep what you have now & just use this one as a winter home. And with all those huge oil refineries just down the road.
