PS: after further research, I found that the front frame screws may be imperial "UNF" thread (F for fine) while my screws in stock are UNC thread (C for coarse)

I was trained to wire this way back in the 1960s in the RAF. Equipment built this way is designed to work forever, and it generally will. It's good to see wiring laced correctly again. Things are rarely made this well today.

I would hate to be the technician that had to repair one of those long ago 😮. Thanks for the video.

The pink sleeves ar Hellermann sleeves, a synthetic rubber sleeve that was used a great deal until the 80s. Most of us had a bottle of Hellermann oil on the bench to help apply these; most techs would only ever need 1 bottle in their career!

Those unusual screws may be British Association ("BA") thread. 0BA was the largest and 16BA the smallest size (I think).

I noticed your channel and it's very interesting. I'm assembling thrust reverser for aicraft engine in factory. Previously, I was involved in assembling gyroscopes for navigation devices for aviation and ships

You say very British - is that good or bad on this context?!

I don't consider anything british as being bad, except the prime minister maybe 🤔
