It would be worth while for you to lok into the actual meaning and history or WYRD whic is much much older than Christianity and is NOT a Christian terminology. Lots of literature and history pre BEowolf called Witches and Pagans by Max Dashu who explores the women in euroepean folk religion and includes uncovering language development nd transformation.

The story comes from Viking not England. The Writer was from the Hylton clan. He like to tell different kinds of stories. Some people in the village was jealous of him. He would have a drink of ale or something like that and tell stories. Some people call storytelling lying. This was false as was the today historians clam he was by hater of the Hylton clan. No real proof was given excite here say. The true story still lives on in my family who we are descendants of him. France author plagiarized the story and claimed it to be his. This is the liar in history not Hylton clan as are the so called historian of today who called him a liar without real proof but from one person and his friends. FACT!
