Apparently when they made the cloth for the uniform jacket the camo was put on by using brooms ,whenever there was a seam when putting the jacket together most times the camo colour say the brown would stop at the seam as would the other colours .

Ian it was a real pleasure to watch this video... hornets heads are so detailed! and the way you painted it... so good! the fact that you use (i think it is that) a scarf used by the páras to disguise the cut on the neck is superb! Your an artist My friend! Kudos

I'm not very good at painting figures, these videos will help me a lot. Thanks for sharing :)

Da Costa awesome man, it's all just practice and patience. You'll find your groove. Each figure I paint I learn something even the figure I painted in this video had to get dipped in purple stuff because I botched the skin tones my first attempt . I was just moving to fast which I tend to do when filming. Take your time enjoy it, it will always give you better results

Northern Modeller thanks man, I appreciate it, how's the figures coming along? I haven't been able to check my subscriptions today. Looking forward to seeing the miniart figure. I saw a musketeer that looked cool but I'm spoiled by resin and metal. Makes it hard going back to plastic.
@JensenTaylor28047 жыл бұрын
Ian E I really want to crack on with it but it's a bit flashy and does not even come close to the standard of resin figures. After I get some kits out the way I will be in with the figures again :)
@IanEBBM7 жыл бұрын
Northern Modeller word man, let me know if you have any questions. Flash is annoying, I totally spotted some on this one while editing the video, it has a way of sneaking past me some times.

What paint set do you recommend when painting British 1:35?
@IanEBBM5 жыл бұрын
Robert Stoneman I usually start with the Andrea Kahki set, but I’ll add or take away from it as needed. Shane Smith just uploaded a great video on using a WWI set.

Hi Ian, another great video. One question, did you left wash on the figure? You didn’t remove excess?
@IanEBBM7 жыл бұрын
Milan Jaric great question, I leave it on, remember I have thinned it with water, and I'm only putting it where it needs to go, if you get pooling then you might want to clean that up. But it's working as a filter so you want to let dry. You can unload your brush a little on a paper towel if it's to runny

michael adams 35th goes fairly quick once you have your process down. Larger figures and busts can take me forever because I loose interest sometimes. Airbrush has become my favorite tool.
