Those things you are trying to describe are the endless supply of vocal techniques that Morissette possesses, uses to perfection, and places strategically to produce just the right sound and evoke just the right emotion at just the right time in the song. To say that Morissette is amazing is such an understatement, and I have been searching for words to describe her greatness since the day I first heard, saw, and experienced Mori over 3 years ago. The sounds you are referring to are called vocal breaks(cries, squeaks, growls, whistles). Mori is the queen of these sounds. They imbue a ton of emotion into her performances.

The big big difference between the incomparable MORISSETTE and gabriel is that gabriel lacks personality and charisma of which there is none, he also over does every song that he sings, it's probably what cost him his AGT place because he doesn't know how to perform in front of an audience, he also looked very scruffy, MORISSETTE on the other hand knows how to work an audience more than anyone and she always looks classy without the smutty image that seems to be the thing with mainstream so called artists 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

If you are unsure, take a view of one of the fan cam posts of stage performances. BTW what are you talking about? There is no NO piano. FY education she is singing to a soundtrack piped by her earphones. Otherwise, the studio is silent apart from her voice. Look over her shoulder, outside the bus there are people watching and listening to the combined sound.
