I literally just got into kpop like 1-2 months ago and it was thanks to a friend that is super into Blackpink, I even pre-ordered the new album. It's really cool seeing Jon giving it a listen. I've been following since the Rock React days and always thought that them/Jon now giving an opportunity to new music/genres was really cool, to not let your own preconceptions keep you from discovering good music. I had my own preconceptions about kpop as well but after giving an opportunity to different groups I was really captured. There's a lot of kpop songs/groups that are really interesting musically. If you decide to react to more kpop groups, my recommendation would be Aespa, to the songs Savage, Girls or Next Level. They have really strong vocals and they are really different to the other kpop groups I've heard

I have to laugh every time I watch a new KZbinr react to these talented ladies because what you said at the 6-6:10 mark about US and GB stepping up is what everyone have said when reacting to them. Gonna give some context to each of the group members Jennie is the first one up. She’s the “it girl” and most controversial member of the group. She’s a singer and a rapper and she’s known for her versatility, star quality, and charisma. Second is Lisa. She’s arguably the most popular member known for her skills as a rapper and is regarded as one of the best dancers of her generation. She’s currently the most followed Koop artist in the entire world. Rosie or Rosè is the third singer with the platinum hair. She’s the singer/songwriter of the group with the most range and vocal abilities. She’s also the groups second best dancer after Lisa. Lastly is Jisoo. Voice of Baceprot are a progressive heavy metal rock band fronted by 3 young women. They even played at wacken open air 2022 by invitation without an audition. Huge productions, experimental and unique mix of rhythms, grand visuals, talent and their producer's talent (Teddy Park). The members are quite talented and diverse that make the whole concept work amazingly; from singing, rapping, modeling, acting, playing instruments, being high-end brand embassadors... puff! you name it. I Totally agree with your analysis America and the UK have fallen short for a while now. English born and bred. I am into rock, hard core, black metal gothic and the original rappers. Through my daughter in 2020 when we went into our first lock down she was playing a track called Boombayah and I entered the rabbit hole. BLACKPINK are loved world wide and they are hated just as much. For myself I was sick and tired of hearing music you could slash your wrists to. Emotional music needs to be heard but so does pure let go dance around your kitchen singing as loud as you can. Laughter is just as important. These 4 are a breath of fresh air all 4 are stunningly beautiful but what they are also is very nice people who love their fans and you can see that on this latest comeback Rose got so emotional seeing the blinks she cried.
