Thank you Mel, I certainly have learned something new. You may like to know our grandson has 4 deaf/hard hearing friends in his school and the teachers sign to all the children. He is 5yrs, so if all the children are exposed to BSL from that age, no doubt it will become natural for them to sign to each other.

Yvonne Davies Hi Yvonne, that’s great, children are like sponges and pick things up so quickly. Thank you for letting me know, perhaps your be signing with your grandson 🤗

This is fascinating and very enlightening, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope the campaigning is successful in getting BSL taught in schools because as a language its own right it not only embraces an inclusive society but is a beautiful, poetic language that adds wonderful expression and would be a great addition to the arts.
