I loved Charlotte Bellamy's acting in this storyline but the one that did it for me was the alcoholism storyline. It was amazing and she played that part SO well. Soap operas usually just make me laugh but that storyline and her acting broke me inside. I believed every second of it and her dispair seemed so real.

That was one of her very best storylines because it can happen to anyone and it was such a shock that Laurel was the one to go through addiction. I've seen this happen with my own eyes. This was Emmerdale's best night in my opinion and they deserved all of the awards because Dementia struck home with many people who watched this storyline.

Unfortunately a lot of people see ennerdale as an old people program their granny's used to watch it and they didn't wanna. From watching it it's absolutely amazing the absolute impeccable talent of Charlotte Bellamy (LAURAL) Charlie Webb (DEBBIE). A 30 second clip of a storyline isn't enough to judge fairly weather you think the person should of won or not because you have to be able to of seen the whole storyline. Debbie and larul have had some seriously deep and great storylines and the actress's that play those 2 characters deserved so many more awards and because of the stereotypical people who watch the show being older until more recently they haven't been getting the votes because most people of that age don't know how to use the Internet 😂. I stopped watching eastenders because to me they are afraid to split couples up that people like they re-use so many topic's for a storyline or are afraid to taint a characters goodness ect. Where as emmerdale don't laural the good girl ex vicars wife who you NEVER would thought it became an alcoholic who did some really degrading things to feed her habit and rhona someone else who u wouldn't ever see became hooked on pills after a back injury. Emmerdale don't just take on important topics they deliver it in such a way that it's not just bringing awareness but you feel what they feel. I'm so happy Charlotte won she truly deserved it. Kim (Michelle) has also delivered outstanding performance in the her baby dying storyline but remember she had this happen in real life so it's not as hard to be able to deliver such a great performance because she had that to draw from. It really disappointed me that charley (debbie) didn't get awards for the whole Cameron storyline and that's because of things I've said above and the fact that hayley in corrie left after being in the show forever
