In 2019 I got to study abroad in south korea and while I was there I got to actually go to a mamamoo concert, and it was the best musical experience of my entire life. They did this medley there, and I wasn't expecting it to happen -- just like the person behind the camera said, it was relatively late in the show and they'd already been doing all sorts of insane singing for over an hour! I just can't describe how energizing and elating it is to see them sing so impossibly well and hit all the notes that seemed so surreal in the videos I'd watched before. They are the most charismatic performers in the world, and very sweet to their audience, and I really hope they keep getting more attention for their talent and hard work! thank you for this reaction!

Just a little background on Immortal Songs, all of the songs are covers of korean classics from older artists. Immortal Songs is a singing competition show where artist sing songs from invited guest. Mamamoo has appeared on the show 13 times and winning 3 times ( the were only k-pop girl group to win from a few years ago, i haven't kept up with the show so I don't know if this is still true ) They were competing against artists from all genres of music. They did this medley of songs on their 2017 Moosical Curtain Call concert in Seoul.

One thing about Korean language and melodies/rap- since a lot of phrases and words end in vowels, it’s much easier to string together lines that rhyme, so the choice of words and the sound they make lends to a nice change to western ears

Aside from every group, Mamamoo had a different upcoming. They focused more on live vocals and performance other then choreo, and they stuck with it. Many criticized them on their looks because they don’t fit your typical girl group, but they never gave in to the hate and now...they’re the most respected gg vocally

I love mamamoo and their vocal talents. I just wish Moonbyul sang with them more. She’s a talented singer and rapper. The girls can nail a 4 part harmony so I always more of that.

She’s started to a lot more. Believe it or not, this was filmed at their first official headlining concert (2015 I think). She’s become a lot more confident in her vocals and not only joins into more harmonies, but also gets more solo vocal parts now, as well as mixing in more singing in her melodious rap style

Thanks for the reaction... hope you do more. The other girls all have solo’s if you are looking for Inspiration. But there is much more to see... 1cm will show another side of them that you have not seen. They have som very artistic mv’s.
