No one would suggest that the UK shouldn't welcome ANY immigrants... But there should be a screening process to take the right people who bring the skills we need. Brits are concerned with the flood of illegal immigrants, mostly men with no background checks, with absolutely no desire to work or integrate, and crime (especially against women) is rising at a proportionate rate. This is horrendous and absolutely nothing to do with employment immigration, so let's not do the gaslighting.

If you increase the supply of labour then you reduce the price of it, its simple Supply/Demand economics. Reducing the supply of labour would increase the price paid for labour and therefore wages would increase.

I will say…there is a large percentage of LAZY people in this country. My friend used to help with recruiting people on benefits into the job market. Majority of people would decline the vacancies purely because they “didn’t fancy it”. A lot of these people don’t want to work and will find any excuse to decline opportunities. This country needs whipping into shape. There are so many people that force themselves to get up in the morning, challenge themselves and are willing to climb the ladder only to be punished for it by being taxed a ridiculous amount and forced to pay for lazy people’s lifestyle. Foreign labour is definitely cheaper and being taken advantage of. But like this guy in the video said, there are PLENTY of vacancies out there. People just don’t want to take them because they can sit at home all day and get paid £25k a year.

@ 25k is the maximum cap for a couple on benefits. I don’t think it’s that deep. The UK implemented a system to support those in genuine need but without proper policing…people have taken advantage of it. Some people even have more kids to ensure they get a higher pay out from the government. The system is broken.

After the war they were behind the "Iron curtain" and therefore referred to as part of "The Eastern block" this was before the "Velvet revolution" freed the country and made it a brilliant place to visit, (or live if you can master the language). Anyway I am guessing that is why they were refer to as "Eastern Europe".

UK people have stopped having as many children as they used to have because the would be parent's can't get jobs that would support a family, they need more an hour than the lowest wage, the cost of living has gone up and people that own factories are not willing to have less profit and give more money an hour to the working class people, the average people can't afford to buy or even to rent a house till they are much older than 20 years old like in the old days people are trying to save and rent or buy house beyond the age of 35 years old, a lot if they can are still living with their parents in over crowded conditions. People would work if they had enough money coming in to support them selves and their future families. But the factory owners can't wait for that they want workers now so they will get workers in from abroad. I think that we are an ageing population, the whole idea is to keep the country running not the UK people the new people will eventually pay tax and keep the country running it is not about us it is about keeping the country running, a lot of people will not work for peanuts so they will bring people in that will work for peanuts and in the end they will come to the same conclusion as the UK people they need houses they need food and every thing that the UK people have. The factory owners will just go abroad and get more people in, just like a machine that needs to keep on work.

You don't have to, "recruit a lorry driver from abroad" as this er......expert states. What can happen is haulage owner 'A' can contact haulage owner 'B' in, let's say, Poland, and say, I need 6 pallets shipping from Dover to Manchester, have you got anyone available to do it?" Haulage owner 'B' says, "YES! I have a truck docking at 8.30 and he has room for the 6 pallets." Then haulage owner 'A' might ask, "So where is your driver ending up?" Haulage owner 'B' says, "Edinburgh on Thursday!" "AH!" says haulage owner 'A' "I've got 12 pallets going down to London, do you want them?" Haulage owner 'B' obviously agrees! This is just an example, but this thing goes on ALL the time and if you don't believe me, the next time you are on a motorway, look at the licence plate of the HGV in front of you and count up the number of, 'PL' 'CZ' 'D' 'E' etc, etc, against 'GB' ones, I doubt you'll be surprised!
