Various shots of entertainers amongst crowd: woman has palm read, racing tipster and Pathe favourite Prince Monolulu, old jockey selling ancient photos of horses, a performing parrot and monkeys in costumes. We see a man drinking a pint of beer, a pickpocket reaches into his jacket but gets his fingers snapped with a mousetrap! Various shots man doing card tricks for money.
Various shots horses being led around paddock, jockeys walk in and mount horses. We then see the horses leaving the paddock. Various shots bookies. More shots horses going onto track. M/S cameraman. C/U tic-tac man. Horses go to the start of race. L/S of Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother watching. Various shots of race, four of the horses end up running with out riders. Racehorse named "Larkspur" ridden by jockey Neville Sellwood wins, followed closely by "Arcot" and "Le Cantilien". Various shots first aiders attending to fallen jockeys on track. Various shots of "Larkspur" being lead off track. M/S Princess Margaret. More shots "Larkspur" being led to unsaddling enclosure by her owner Raymond Guest.
