(Title is repeated - possibly replacing a missing intertitle.) C/U of Lord Asquith talking to someone off camera. M/S of Asquith and two women (wife and daughter?) as they stand on the steps of a building, being pelted with flour bombs and brushing flour off their coats; the group then poses for the camera. This footage is probably from 1920, when Asquith won the Paisley By-election.

For anyone who doesn't know, Helena Bonham Carter is his granddaughter. His daughter, Violet Bonham Carter, knew Churchill when he was in his 30s and 40s, and wrote a fine memoir about him. Roy Jenkins has written an excellent biography of Asquith.
