Those guys were good! I'm no expert, but they seem up to the standard of the modern champion teams I've seen. But I was surprised to see them all wearing shorts down the pit. I've seen many pictures of miners from the time, but haven't seen that before. Does anyone have any idea what that was about? Maybe it was an unusually deep and hot seam?
