Terry is back at home on leave. He spends the day with another cadet, they are both in uniform and are with two girls in swinging sixties short dresses. We see them; Rowing in Regents Park, on rides and walking around at Battersea fun fair, running for and missing their train back to Portsmouth.
They are put on a charge and confined to their quarters. Terry has a flashback montage of all the things he has so far done (see part 1). Terry in naval uniform and kit bag joins his first ship. We see him in his cramped quarters, and eating in the canteen.
Excellent shots of the ship at sea and Terry performing his duties. Good shot of a helicopter taking off from the ship. The ship approaching Gibraltar.
Terry and his bikini clad girl friend go swimming, they romp in the water. Back at H.Q. the cadets are instructed about torpedoes. We see them making an exit escape dive in a large tank. Terry now joins a submarine, he wanders around below deck and takes his watch in front of lots of dials. Travelling shot from sub at sea.
End Credits: D.O.P. William Jordan, Sound George Newberry, Editor Fred Ives, Writer Roger Dunton, Producer Lionel Hoare, Director Fredric Goode.
Produced by Pathe and C.O.I.
