The carriages wait at what's now Hudson's Place, the east-SE side of Victoria Station. The street in the background is Wilton Road and the station building at the left matches the surviving façade, with two columned porticos, the Royal Family at the one at the Bridge Place end. The porte-cochère is long gone and the Hudson's building replaced by Stockley House.

Gloucester left Australia in December 1934 so this is early 1935

These were edits or unused footage from "The Duke of Gloucester's Return" in which the commentary mentioned Prince Henry returning from a tour of Australia and New Zealand in time for the King's Silver Jubilee; so, presumably 1935. Note the sudden cut from the close-up of Henry saluting and moving towards someone - possibly he'd spotted Lady Alice Montagu-Douglas-Scott, his fiancee, in the contingent welcoming him back to London?

Let’s get this right: a member of the Royal family returns from a simple trip and not only does his whole family turn out to greet him but and entire military division and the crowds of people show up to watch ? How did the county ever get anything done?

He was away for half a year. Travel was slow in those days. An air mail service between the UK and Australia only started for the first time in 1934 and an air passenger service in 1935.

I think they are Mary, Princess Royal (daughter of George V) and the Duchess of York (later Queen Elizabeth, wife of Duke of York, later George VI)
