Back before blue lights and sirens and in the days before there was any legal obligation or set budget to attend & equip for these types of jobs (Fire Brigades back then not Fire & Rescue Services). Now all this stuff is found on normal appliances.

They did have some orange lights on this one - they were of course replaced with blue as they were getting confused with blinkers .

She was last taxed in 1981 but has a logbook last issued in 1985…. Chances are she might still survive somewhere… Update: Quick research says she was converted to a Control Unit and now has reflective number plates
