Pauls contribution to racing will be his greatest legacy, He was a talented sportsman, from foot ball, to two wheels, His ability to talk to people from the Humble spectator, to the enthusiastic racer, will be never forgotten, I wish the teams continued success, and his aspirations for more "wins" in the future.

My partner and I met Mr Bird in 2005 in the paddock at Mondello, when he had the Stobbart Honda Team. We just said hello and ended up chatting for 15-20 minutes. He was an absolute gentleman and for him to take time and show interest in two ordinary people who were fans of motorcycle racing, tells you all you need to know. He was absolute class and what he did for the sport and others that wasn’t public knowledge, reflects on how special he was and he will be sadly missed. He signed our program and simply wrote Peace Paul Bird. Fantastic tribute RIP ❤️
