Beautifully sung as always. I read the description, if you get a chance look into why that was. The whole thing was heartbreaking. There’s a lot of videos here on KZbin, but mainly that she was under extreme pressure and obscenely overworked from a young age. Around that time, you can find interviews from Diane Sawyer (I think) and Matt Lauer asking about her sexual history and virginity. I couldn’t imagine answering those questions to the world at 20-21.

Wow! What a beautiful version! My brother and best friend passed away. I got all of his music. We were in an argument when he died. He was coming to see me to talk and spend a weekend with me and my kids when he had his accident. He had made a C.D. with songs on it that was about me, us and our fight. We were super close. I love this cover very much and a great take on a classic but just because someone can sing louder and hit higher notes doesn’t translate into being a better version. It seems to be a thing that when anyone covers a Britney song comments seem to pop up arguing how the one hitting the hire notes or giving it more emphasis on a certain word makes it better but two singers can sing the same song in the same key and sound different - the reason is tone. The reason why a Britney song has always been successful is because of her tone of voice. Christina Aguilera can cover the song in this specific way... but sometimes simple is just as amazing.

@@elouise5593 Tone & pitch are two totally different musical notations. The "pitch" is still off key in part. The lyrics "waver"on higher vocal notes meaning the tone & pitch are off key. If you want to hear the pitch correctly listen to the original song absolutely perfect.
