Love this reaction. In The Zone is my favourite album of hers. Everytime is such a special song she wrote and composed the melody. All these years we thought this song is the respond to Justin Timberlakes Cry Me A River song, but it turns out it’s for her unborn baby. As she revealed in her memoir Justin got her pregnant ,but he wasn’t ready to be a father although it didn’t came to her a shock as she always wanted to have family with him she agreed to get an abortion. Where the lyrics go “why are we strangers when, our love is strong” it’s like why can we both agree on having this baby, and then when she goes “my weakness caused you pain and this song is my sorry” it’s an apology for the baby.

Great reaction! Also, in Britney's memoir The Woman In Me, she said that Everytime is a song dedicated to apologising to her baby, which she had with Justin Timberlake. But they chose to have an abortion because they were too young, and that's why the song sounds like a lullaby.

Britney made this album in 2003. It's so ahead of its time. Then came Blackout. Britney never got the recognition she was due. What she's done for pop culture is on another level.

This album was her “coming into her own as an adult women, person, sexuality ” and it was raw, great and an absolutely amazing album. Plus, for so long they bullied her, for being to this and to that and She was like ok, here you! 😉

'Slave 4 U' from Britney’s 2001 album was when she first started exploring more mature themes. But THIS album took it to a whole new level. Just four years after '...Baby One More Time,' it was such a significant departure in style. I remember hearing stories in the news about parents who took their young kids to see her Onyx Hotel Tour in 2004, and many walked out in anger because of how sexually provocative it was. This was a completely new Britney!

One of the best songs from this era isn’t even on the standard album. You should listen to “Don’t Hang Up” from the deluxe. It’s on KZbin and Spotify 😊 gotta love how she was unafraid to pull from different cultures with this record, and she did it so seamlessly with that Britney swag throughout.

1:02:58 I was 17 years old jamming out to the song with my friends and my minivan that I was driving and it was snowing like crazy and I crashed my van to brave New girl and we had the Walkman CD player that was hooked up to the cassette deck and the van cuz that's how you had to listen to him back in the day if you want to see me in there and I like him I hadn't knocked me out and when I came to this song was stuck on repeat just like skipping it took me a long time to be able to listen to it again

At that time Justin T broke up with her by sms and she was devestated and she had abortion of they baby girl. Justin make a song about her " cry me a river " and she drop this one. First I thought that she may sing about Justin or her sister as apology but she probably was emotional ofter having abortion that was painful. Btw I recomend you her album " Britney " and " Circus ".
