Just now realizing that I was actually in New Orleans in 2002. Spent Spring Break of my freshman year of high school there with my older sister and a friend of hers. Spring Break fell on St Patrick’s Day that year so we were able to witness that parade and got beads then... thankfully the only thing one had to do to get beads on THAT holiday was kiss old Irish men on the cheek... still kinda gross but better than having to flash my bits for 10 cent beads 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
