Britney Spears Real Voice vs "Baby Voice"

The video shows and explains how Britney used to have much talent as a singer and not just a performer. Her label made her sing in the 'baby' register but her voice was and is actually deep. For commercial purposes they try to hide it and that is the reason why Britney has lip synced so much over the years apart from heavy dancing.
The videos used are just for example and they are not mine.

It's because as she got older the music producers made her alter her voice to something they could use. She had an absolutely amazing voice up until then. Her vocal cords are strained now because of her singing in that high pitch. It's sad what happened to her.

When she was younger, and its an unfortunate and disgusting situation (which was sadly a reality for her), what "sold" was making her older. She was a child. The voice added to the illusion. Then now shes older they're wanting the give off the illusion that shes not a mature, capable woman and mother able to make her own decisions. Like a child. Like a teenage mum.

She was sold into the music industry as a slave by her parents and is a victim Of mk ultra programming. You Do not know about it look it up. And Britney married her childhood friend and it was her mother and management team that got it annulled. I'm glad that her father stepped in and he still has control over hee life. She never took control of her life she groomed from the days of Disney till now. Thank God she has a relationship with her children. I also heard that Kevin and his wife moved to Vegas so she can see her kids.

ItsTypicalAlexツ her original voice is her original voice. With minimal practice, she'd learn to use it again just fine. The real issue here is her living a fast lifestyle, mixed with lots of smoking, drugs and alcohol consumption. That's enough to ruin anyone's voice. Take Whitney Houston as an example. It seems as if Britney eventually cleaned up her image and changed her lifestyle by sobering up and getting proper mental health treatment, but unfortunately, you can tell her fast life caught up with her. For someone who stays as healthy as she is right now, combined with her age...life doesn't look like it's helped her age well at all.

Britney is an amazing Alto, deep, rich, lots of character in her singing voice. She was vocally 'trained' to sing Late 1990's Pop Music Style. She wasn't the only one, Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson, and Kelly Clarkston can all sing amazingly. They all were great singers before they were noticed by talent scouts, Record Company Exec, etc. Management, not the girls decided how to sound, how to look, how to act. One reason some of them got so messed up was that they were turned into sex objects in order to sell more records. A real shame what happened to those teenage girls.

are you saying Adele's voice isn't unmistakable? X3 just kidding, yeah you make a strong point here. Branding is the key to staying relevant. The baby-ish sounding voice is like her trademark thing. It's what she's known for. and if that were to change who knows where she'd be. sure having that booming voice might have been a thing, it works for adele, having that powerful voice, but Brittany's music works better with her "stage voice." Oops No thanks it’s not just girls it’s guys too Once again it’s show business either fit our mould and if you have nothing sleep with a bunch of creepy old men or gtfo. if you think my comments gross then I think you need a reality check. These artists are all ran by record labels and who do you think owns the record labels? Creepy old white men. Who is paying for their producers etc in order to make profits? rich old businessmen. They’ll build you up and make you think you can do anything you wants but the restrictions will show when you step out of line.. also as soon as you hit 30 they’ll start phasing you out by rejecting single promotion and shelving your album. They do this as they are invested In a new artist that’s stolen or taken “inspiration” from you and they know they’ve squeezed you dry of money so they’ll get a 2.0 get them to sign a deal for 6 million and make hundreds of millions of them meanwhile keeping them under control with the contract. I’ve been in show business and have seen it all. I’m a MALE and was working to become a model and had been in campaigns as a kid for target. As soon as I turned 18 I got a bunch of offers but in order to get them to sign me to the big designer brands I’d have to basically whore myself out to a bunch of creepy old men. They manipulate you too and sell it as a dream. I remember going to see a very rich man in my city to discuss a contract for walking a major designer runway in my country and he answered the door naked in a robe, then 5 minutes into talking he touched my thigh. That was IT I’d had enough I walked out and I as a 20 year old male now work in retail. I could’ve been huge by now BUT I didn’t fit the mould of whoring myself out. The music industry is much the same either these artists have slept their way ^ or they were talented and signed a contract that gives them no control. Either FIT the mould completely or GTFO! Once again it’s sad, but it’s true. But there’s always someone who’s prepared to go further then you. I’ve known straight guys who are still my friends sleep with men to get the big campaigns and one of my other friends went for it and is now doing all sorts of stuff for huuuggeee designer brands in my country. They have the taste for the income and can live with the fact they sleep with old men and that’s ok.. well it’s not ok! It’s unfair but I mean who am I to judge? I don’t blame them, they are doing much better then me financially BUT sometimes you need to do what’s right for U and that’s what I did. So don’t say my comments gross when you’ve probably never met the big guys in these entertainment industries or even touched the surface of the industry yourself.

i think Britney's voice never had a complete chance to grow properly. singing out of your natural register can cause strain on the vocal chords if not done properly and Britney's voice is a result of that.. she never had a chance to exercise her natural voice and its capabilities since she's been forced to sound a certain way for years.

this makes sense to me, when I sing along to songs I naturally try to match the voice of the singer and since it's not my natural singing voice it cracks a lot, but when I sing to a lower register, like a man's song or say t-boz parts in tlc songs I sound good. I can sing along to any song but to really sound right I have to be on the lower side. Brittney is a very strong person going through what she does with bipolar and controlling people

They mostly forced her to sing in the "baby" to try and make her more distinguishable from Christina who was coming out during the same time. Her voice would have fit perfectly with the pop music. The thing with Britney is that she doesn't seem to take control of her career. From her Disney days, they programmed her to listen to those who manage her. When an artist only listens to management, they cannot truly express themselves. But she is still a great performer, even though her dance moves appear a little lazy nowadays. But still love her!

+Jani Turner Well, actually what all the pop princesses of the late '90's were trying to sell was the whole good-girl-gone-bad/naughty-meets-nice persona. And even though Christina and Jessica Simpson did their character right in performances and videos, an impressive, powerful voice like theirs doesn't seem like the girl-next-door, but more like a full grown woman, whereas the sweet, breathy baby voice that Mandy Moore and Britney mastered seems more like the girl-next-door type.

For those of you who don’t fully understand vocal anatomy and saying oh she should just come back with her real voice don’t understand the extensive training she had to go though for this baby voice the voice is a muscle and for her to get half of her original voice back would take years of training and reshaping bc at this point it’s auto pilot for her to sing “baby” voice you can tell in these clips alone you can obviously hear the transition from one voice to the other and to try to go back to original voice overnight can cause serious vocal strain and damage

Wait. Britney as of 2019 is still worth $215 MILLION. They didn't take EVERYTHING away. She's still got more money than her or her kids could ever blow. She's got multi-generational wealth that will last hundreds of years even if her descendants never work a day in their life. Even If you just lived off the annual $21.5 million 10% earnings of her wealth, you'd never lose a dime of that $215. And even most rich people can survive just blowing a few mil per year. Meaning her descendants will never have to work and their wealth will continue to grow most likely. Lots of people get walked over at work for a lot less money and have to do it for 55yrs of working.

Britney and Christina were born with the wrong voices. Christina always had a sweet, light voice, but she always wanted a deep, dark voice and that's why she tried to fake it all that time. Britney, on the other hand, had that deep, dark voice that Christina wanted, but she actually wanted to have (or was forced into faking) the sweet light voice that Christina has. If they could have had each other's voice, I'm sure they wouldn't have the vocal problems that they have now.
