@@popaddicted7292 Wasn't this recorded for "Original doll" and therefore before her breakdown and before "Blackout" was recorded ? By the way I really hate the album titel "Blackout". It implies that Britney just had a silly blackout instead of a logical rebellion act. The post blackout era was so eerie. Britney was a puppet on a string again and everybody knew that. She had to act like nothing happened (in order to see her kids and don't get locked away in a facility).That was so fck embarassing for Britney.

@Teresa Sebastian Well, in 2019 her therapist also died right a few days before the court hearing for her conservatorship. Both of the producers for this song (a song that the label in no way wanted to be released) also experienced an unexpected death. Now, this may lean into conspiracy theory territory but the music industry is so messed up it wouldn't be surprising.

those are believed to be the original lyrics!! when rebellion was first Hird, it was teased on Britney's website with an animation when you entered the website. the "be wary of others" portion is believed to be the second verse because when the song would play on her website, it'd begin with a fade in of the ending of the chorus, and then the "be wary of others" part. also the full lyrics have been on AZlyrics for years.
