I think her breaking out of the "innocent kid" thing was probably earlier for songs like I'm Not a Girl (Not Yet a Woman), though that's a VERY tame song by any era's standard, and Overprotected. I'm a Slave 4 U is also around that time period if I'm not wrong and was definitely WAY more provocative.

By far the best mixed song of all time. The balance of the top bottom and mid end is unbelievably punchy. Not the mention one of the best pop choruses and pre choruses of all time.
