Best pop song of all time. Never gets old and always sounds unique, new and fresh. Plus Britney wrote this music video! Like she did many of them in the beginning. Such a talent, I remember watching the making of the video back in the day on MTV and she freaking killed that dance sequence with the lasers in 1 or 2 takes, in heels including the back flip. Sorry to say that this song existec befor this one is a cover. And like many covers that are good and do very very good peolple tend to think its an original. Britney did write some of her song but not this one ^^

This does not mean Toxic is a cover but that uses some elements from other songs - like 99% of songs nowadays. Plus, what the comment said is that she wrote the music video, not the song.

There was a alternate video of this song that is entirely just the footage that was shot of her in that see through outfit before it was edited to be spliced into this official video. Don't know if it's still around or not but t was pretty cool to watch. A lot of time and work filming these MV's, They'll shoot footage of one scene through the whole song and then just use parts of it in the final edit. This was always one of my favorites of hers and arguably her most well known imo. The video is fun and makes this song even better than it was with just the audio.

For the video- it’s has nothing to do with the song. For the video, she is an assassin playing multiple roles so that she can get to her end game- killing the guy with the poison. First step is to get the entry codes from the guy on the planes phone. Then she gets the ride there and to cover her tracks, kills the driver once there. Using the code she gets in and past the lasers to obtain the poison. Finally she sets off to kill her intended target, presumably someone she had to get close to intimately to play this kill out. It’s basically a mini movie that again has nothing to do with the song lyrically. Can’t wait for you to get to the next album. Album 5 (Blackout) is the one she released when she first starting struggling with mental issues.

Boys got knocked back by the copyright police, so I have to wait 30 days for that to release, currently about 17 days left, over protected remix was not in the official chart so I didn't know until after, I'll be going back to that don't worry
