Agreed. It’s funny that when Dimash doesn’t do vocal acrobatics some reactors put him down while others say he shows off when he does them. Dimash has a beautiful voice perfect pitch and breath control he doesn’t need all the highs and lows for every song. I cry when I listen to this amazing song. His voice is pure. If you only appreciate music that you need the words to then you really don’t appreciate music. I can tell what an artist is saying by his emotion

The most important thing in this song is Dimash's fears about whether life will be kind to him, he doesn't want to bring shame to his family and country. He is a man with a big heart, intelligent and thinking. This is unique in our times. While most artists are looking for a simple and easy way to be famous, Dimash wonders how to live well, honorably and with dignity. That's why his fans take an example from him, they do charity work like him, they support others like him, bridge the divisions between people, they connect no matter what of origin, faith, skin color and tradition. Because Dimash brings people together. We love his songs but we love Dimash himself more. And it's great that she sings in her own language. We learn how beautiful languages exist on our planet, how beautiful the traditions of different nations are, how difficult history many countries have gone through. And it's all thanks to Dimash. If we focused only on English-language songs, all this knowledge would pass us by.

We love Dimash not only for the octaves and alternation of high and low sounds that he presents us with all his talent, but also for the love and respect he shows for his country, his family, brothers, friends and his fans. and mainly as a humanitarian citizen that he is. Dimash is a dimensional being who represents the new generation of highly ethical and moral human beings.

Dimash is a private person in the sense that he does not want to talk about his life. But when he composed this song and wrote the lyrics, he partially revealed himself, intentionally or unintentionally. We can see his disappointments, inner turmoil, etc. What people see in him is his wide range, octave, and greatness, but they do not see his daily struggle.

While dedicated to his Dears on his 29th birthday, this is a song of gratitude to LIFE and a prayer that fate does not destroy his dreams in the future. Please take a careful look at the lyrics. The song itself is so intimate, exquisite in his native Kazakh. It has inspired gallons of tears around the world. I have watched your reactions to Dimash from the beginning, and am surprised at how emotionally aloof you remain. Quite sad, actually. 😢

With Dimash what the languages he sings and speaks is not important,i don't care on this thing, because are others the most important things and reasons about why we dears love Dimash unconditionally and immensely..I like so much when Dimash sings in his native kazakh language, and i love Kazakhstan and kazakh people and language only thanks to Dimash..And for this mv and this song that is a precious gift that Dimash give to us his dears, for him we dears all over the world are his worldwide family, the day of his birthday, also for this Dimash is unique and special, the only one on this planet,in my opinion is perfect that the song is sung in kazakh..In english or any other language would lose the sense and the emotional impact of the song, which is even stronger after that Dimash about ten days ago lost a very important person of his family, his beloved grandfather who was also like a father for him..And despite this tragic event and everything on saturday Dimash had a wonderful and unforgettable concert in Malaysia with a full house and with thousands of dears/fans from many parts of the world..All things that other singers can only dream of in their entire artistic career..And a last thing,in the majority of the world people doesn't know and doesn't speak english, and for this please stop with this boring and annoying cult of the english language..King Angel Dimash forever

Most of Dimash’s fans and aficionados would say that the importance of language and words pale in comparison to his voice. This is a beautiful soundtrack where he displays his unique, emotive singing style with new grit ASCOLTE LA VOCE! You’ve got English subtitles! If you don’t like the fact that he’s Kazakh and sings in different languages, he’s probably not your artist to react to. You seem more impressed by the fact that celebrities flock to him like ducks to water than by his artistry. I don’t know a song of his, be it traditional, classic or pop, regardless of language, in which his brilliance does not overwhelm. His entire being, artistry and mission is about bridging the cultural divide and promoting unity and peace, so you are clearly missing the point! While English has been a useful tool for enforcing “cultural supremacy et al…,” Dimash is proving that cultural diversity, including the language difference, is no obstacle to common goals and understanding. The language of music is universal, like water that quenches the thirst of rich and poor and penetrates every fiber of our being. Reactors are actually diluting his official subscription numbers as people listen multiple times to different reactors for the same songs (myself included). So, in his case subscriptions are not a realistic guide to his popularity. The US and UK number about 400M people. Dimash’s fan base is triple that, of which 1B in China alone; add the CIS countries, Latin America and increasingly India and down under. One easily reaches 1.5B +. My guess is, Africa is next to be overawed by Dimash big time. I’m sure language is not going to be a problem…So regardless of the approval of the English speaking bastions and music industry, who pay lip service to his talent while holding up no-entry signs, Dimash has long conquered the world as it presents today on his own terms with the help of Dears.

@@magosiawasala2663 Thanks, Magosia. A bit of a diatribe, I'm afraid. I dearly love the English and Americans - I lived, studied and worked in both countries for many years. I was just dismayed to hear that this laziness and/or antipathy to foreign languages persists in such a forum. I do believe though that Dimash is shaking the foundations of this outmoded assumption that English must rule. (And I am an anglophone, who prefers English over the other three languages I speak - admittedly an occupational hazard). But I can't help but resent the ignorance and intolerance that such an attitude reflects in today's world. Luckily, there are more and more people who despite their own cultural isolation are hooked on Dimash and open to learning about his boundless capabilities and rich culture, thanks to KZbin. Yma Sumac, the superb Peruvian singer and pioneer of world music was born a 100 years ago, though internet technology was still fast asleep. Dimash's ability to exploit his unique gift and technology could be called divine timing.😄

👉 Dimash said: “Omir (Eng.) Life) - It is a work whose melody and lyrics first emerged from my inner world. A piece of music on the occasion of my birthday. I dedicate it to all my listeners who encouraged me to stand against both the fierce waves on the water surface and the raging storm. This work is about my life.” What a wonderful gift and thank you from Dimash to us dears on his birthday. The wonderful, gentle melody and also the profound words are his own… and of course his deep touching voice. This young man is not only a great artist, a megastar, he is also a very self-reflective person, an absolute philanthropist. Dimash makes everyone, young and old, think about themselves with his music, his deeds for the people and his humble manner. His singing heals souls and makes listeners wish to be a better person. It's unique... and that's why we love Dimash. Must to watch: * Art video of some Dears on Dimash's birthday: The Story Of One Dream - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpvWiXpvgK2siLM

This may be my favorite Dimash song for many reasons. He wrote it to show love and appreciation to his fans. How many other artist do this? He performed the song in his native Kazakh because that is who he is and he and really some of his most heartfelt and magical songs are in his native tongue. He shared with us some of his personal feelings and fears which is very special showing in my opinion a trust in his fans because he is a very private man. It is just very personal and so beautiful. One thing that struck me is his almost prayer like attitude that he does not do anything to disappoint not only his fans but his family etc. Again, really do not see such humbleness in any other artist.

This is a beautiful song composed by Dimash - it feels very personal - his birthday gift to his Dears. Dimash has accomplished a lot to be proud of in his 29 years - did you notice the cavalcade of stars and celebs in the last half of the video? The first big star he met was Jackie Chan on The Singer in 2017, a long time family idol. Other celebrities I recognise - Lang Lang, Nicole Kidman, Lara Fabian, Igor Krutoy, Jack Ma, Andrea Bocelli, Drew Barrymore, James Corbin, The Pope, Gennady Golivkin (Kazakh Boxer), David Foster (Canadian music legend) and Walter Assieniff (American music legend). Impressive. 🙏🏻🇦🇺

Wow. Was a pretty shocking review in my opinion. 🤣🤣🤣 I personally believe Omir(Life) to be one of his most beautiful songs to date. There are plenty of vocal acrobatics here but most are of more subtle skills and emotive. Large range is nice but Dimash has so much more in his vocal toolbox. Dimash and Jackie Chan are friends and Dimash has done a few OST's for Jackie's movies. The visuals are wonderful but the song truly has no need for them. 🤔🇨🇦

I love this song, and the video is just icing on the cake. It's about his gratitude for life. For the opportunities he's been given, which he never takes for granted. He asks questions about the longevity of happiness and love, if they exist, if they can stay. He humbly asks fate to spare him, to allow him to reach his dream, which has everything to do with love, and nothing to do with fame. It's beautiful and thoughtful. I wish there was an English version so I could play it in the background for people when they visit. It's just lovely. 💗 It's also the first song he's ever done all on his own. More importantly, it's the first song he has written his own lyrics for. He's a very private person, and for him to write his own lyrics is a huge deal. It's a piece of his soul. I'm sorry you didn't feel it.

This song is actually very deep. He is speaking to life, not to the Dears, and instead of bragging about his achievements, he is praying for the blessing of not being tested to the point of committing mistakes that he will regret. As he used a distorted belly scream to sing those lives towards the end, he inserted the clips from The World’s Best where we know he quit the competition and gave up the million dollar prize in order to give the children the opportunity to win. That was a correct choice though it cost him his big break into the American market. He mentions the alternation of sadness and joy, and we now know that he already knew at the time he wrote these lyrics that his grandfather who raised him and whom he called papa was dying of kidney failure. When we welcomed him at the Los Angeles airport, I noticed his eyes were very sad though he made the kind effort of smiling, signing autographs, and taking pictures with us. Then just one week before his Malaysia concert, we all heard that his grandpa passed away. He rushed home to Kazakhstan and was able to attend the funeral prayers and was one of the pall bearers at the funeral. At the concert, he said that his grandfather had taught him to always keep his promise despite matters of life and death, and that’s why he did not cancel the concert. A full four-hour concert. That’s Dimash. Yes, that was Jackie Chan. Also, other famous people that appeared: Lara Fabian, Igor Krutoy, Andrea Bocelli, Jack Ma (the founder of Ali Baba), Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, and more.

To be completely honest, as one of Dimash's most hard-core fans for six years I was kind of disappointed when I first heard the song as well. I thought that given the story he is telling; the song could have been considerably more dramatic. That being said, the more I listen to it, the better I like it. I think it does a good job of reflecting his feelings about what got him here and what he is about to face as he turns toward conquering the West in a similar way to how he has conquered other parts of the world.

Hi guys, I have really missed your Dimash reactions. This song hit hard the day it came out and hits harder now, Dimash’s grandfather passed away very shortly after this was released, about the time that you were filming this reaction. You probably remember that it is customary for the first born grandchild is raised by the grandparents, so he called him Papa. Dimash wrote this song, I can’t help but feel that he knew what was coming. He did perform in a concert yesterday, but had said that it was almost cancelled, but his grandfather always said that you keep your obligations. Unless I missed it, you guys haven’t reacted to his 3 year project, The Story Of One Sky, composed by Dimash and he wrote the script for the video, a video that definitely should be seen, not a lighthearted video at all.

You were just honest. Nothing wrong about it. However I have to admit that firstly I was also surprised that you do not experience the depth of this song. I love hearing Kazakh (sounds so poignant to me), love the lyrics (really deep), so well composed and sung with such a mastery. I believe that it is exactly for the ears of Dears. They may feel it, appreciate - Dimash as a whole package. And when not being a fan of Dimash (the Dear), so what….it is absolutely fine not to be blown away. And the respect is to acknowledge that we might appreciate different vocalists and songs.

@veronikah.9564 Hi Veronikah and thank you for the comment, many people will have an instant connection to this song for their own reasons, we are just casual Dimash listeners and for us this song, did not quite move us as it did others. We gave our honest comments in a polite way and that's how it should be, not just agree with everyone else. We have done a few other songs from Dimash and those really did impress us. Thanks for checking out the channel

It's amazing to me that anyone listening to this song could find it anything except extremely beautiful. I think perhaps your experience with music is more limited to the pop genre and you don't have much appreciation for other types of music, which is fine, not everyone has to like Dimash. You seem to know very little about Dimash. You perhaps do not know that Dimash is an international superstar, a beloved humanitarian, a person who is exceptionally kind, loving, and humble. He is far more than a guy who can sing really high notes. You also probably don't know he is currently working on his doctorate in music. Your reaction made me sad and a little embarrassed for you. I think you should concentrate on reacting to pop music, which I am sure you are very good at.

Hello. Here's a question for you both. How many artists have you ever heard of that takes the time to recognize their fans by writing a song in their honor. I'm 71 yrs old from the USA. I have never heard of a single artist doing this. I admire this young man so much. He is a beautiful humble human being. An "ambassador of peace". I first saw your reaction to Malakia Bayoh from BGT. I enjoyed it very much. I'm hoping you will react again to Dimash. SOS 2021 or Stranger New Wave S 2021.

It's really odd how different people connect with certain artists, yet others don't. Maybe 'odd' isn't the right word, to be fair. Different people like different things, and that's how it should be. There are a ton of artists and bands (including Dimash) who are amazingly talented, and I always appreciate that. I just don't personally 'connect' with them. It's not a reflection on the artist, it's just personal taste. 😊

Maybe you should listen to the song again without the video (and understand the lyrics first) You missed a lot, if not everything. I honestly had the feeling that you started with a certain expectation and it wasn't felt. Apparently you like vocal capers more. But even then, maybe you should listen to the song again, he has some very interesting things "hidden" there. Dimash hasn't had to prove anything for a long time and now works with American composers like David Foster.
