Not sure if you are aware that this is a mashup of 2 songs which if you consider how they put them together especially at the end...It's brilliant!

The original song “Christmas Time is here” was done for the TV show “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. the song was sung by children, all of which had a very high voice, so Mitch’s key actually closely matched the original key.

Love you guys but you missed the mark on this one..Mitch is singing Christmastime Is Here to the music of Pure Imagination in the beginning..it ends with both songs being sung at the same time..its perfection..

We all are entitled to our own opinions but Mitch voice is angelic and him leading pulls you in. His high notes were effortless and beautiful.

I love the contrast of Mitch’s high notes and then Scott coming in with his lower register. Gives it a nice balance

This was a perfect and gorgeous mash-up. Of course PTX finds two songs that would never be in the same place at the same time and weaves them together brilliantly. Mitch 😇 ❤💚. I guess you are allowed to have your opinion, even when it’s absolutely wrong 😉.

Christmas time is Here is supposed to be high…little kids singing …from Charlie Browns Christmas Special. It is a kids TV show that played every year at Christmas time .

I went to their concert Wednesday night in Orlando and they played this song. It was truly magical live! I had floor level seats 10 rows from the stage. They also did white winter hymnal, Carol of the bells, 12 days of Christmas, kiss from a rose, etc.

Love this one so much!! They were able to weave these two song together seamlessly! And it’s soooo beautiful!!! Mitch’s voice gives me chills every time! Love them all, but he will always hold a special place in my heart!!! ♥️

Reminds me how much I miss Superfruit as Mitch and Scott met when they were 8 to 10 years old, as they both starred in a stage performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. PTX smashed this, as I have come to expect. Thanks so much guys. Other people pointed out the fact that it was a mashup between pure imagination from willy Wonka and it's Christmas time from peanuts. Nobody Else other than other than PTX can put those 2 together I think if BP1 knows goes back and religious you'll get a whole new appreciation. It was a great reaction. I just really wanna put their angel wings when they're performing

I think this is a really pretty mashup of the 2 songs. I can hear it as a background choice while doing Christmassy things,but not when consciously wanting to specifically "hear/sing" seasonal songs. I'd love to see y'all do the new official video of O Holy Night by Pentatonix. It dropped this last week.

Okay, a rare misstep from our favorite Brit Pops. It was two songs, fellas, Christmastime is Here from the Charlie Brown Christmas Special (which may not be a UK thing at all) and then Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka. I love this example of PTX singing a soft and intimate lullaby. If you want another example of their full-voice belting, try their new video for O Holy Night while you’re still sporting those adorable Santa outfits. Peace and Merry Christmas to you and yours …

I've never heard of the Charlie Brown film or It's Christmas Time before, I don't know if it's my age or being British or both! But do adore this mashup and it's now my bedtime song when Alexa switches the lights out. I've been a Pentaholic since 2012 and they always include covers on their albums, festive or otherwise, that I've never heard of. I think some festive songs are only familiar to Americans. I'd have loved a cover just of Pure Imagination, but the other song is pretty and makes it a festive mashup.

@@CatsandDragons Ah, I thought it was maybe a cultural thing. Back when TV didn’t have hundreds of channels (and even after), the Charlie Brown Christmas special was one of about a dozen kids’ Christmas shows that aired every year like clockwork in the US. It’s a gentle and sweet animated reminder of the true nature of the holiday, and Christmas Time is Here is a key part of that. I’m with you on the mash-up, I absolutely love it!

I appreciate that you are willing to give a true criticism of the song. We don't all love the same things. It is not denigrating the group, it is merely a matter of taste in the arrangement choice. I think if you were familiar with A Charlie Brown Christmas and the song Christmas Time is Here, you would understand the arrangement choice a little better. Like the Grinch, I don't think that movie was big in the UK. Merry Christmas.

When I saw your video title, which omitted the "Christmas Time is Here" portion of PTX's video title, and then from your comments during the reaction (and a couple of replies to earlier comments here) I figured out that you hadn't realized that this was a mashup of two completely different songs, put together so well that you didn't even realize they weren't all part of the same song. Surprise! FYI: PTX has done a number of mashups over the years, and have used a variety of ways to title their videos to show that it's a mashup, but recently they seem to have settled on using a "/" to separate the two titles. So if you see that in the title of a PTX video, you'll know that it's a mashup. Anything in the past few years uses that format.

I'm in the 8's for scoring, too. I mean, I ❤ PTX, and Mitch can NEVER go too high, but this for me would be on a 'background music' playlist, not a 'crank it up to the max' playlist. I just don't overly like the songs. Still love PTX, though! As others have mentioned, if you're still recording Christmas tracks, their version of 'O Holy Night' is face melting 😊

Mitch is NEVER too high. And there was a purpose if you understood there are TWO songs being sung simultaneously, so having them both sung in the same register wouldn't have worked now would it? Mitchs voice wasn't even using his counter tenor power but this time he's using his falsetto because he needed his voice to be light like snow flakes falling from the sky. When he and Scott were both singing two songs choruses Scott was lower and mitch had to be high in the clouds, floating above for the two to weave together into one song. So ya you lost me as soon as you found something to pick on with a song that I'm sure will e nominated for a grammy next year. Then we'll see who was right. Not finishing this reaction, that ruined it. Moving on.

"Christmas Time Is Here" are not just words, added'; it is a title of a Christmas song from the Charlie Brown animated Christmas special from 1965. This is a MASH-UP of two songs performed together. Oh, never mind, your pea brain can't handle it.

I’m with Bp2…when I’m stressed after a hard day teaching art to elementary students (& trying to get all the holiday projects done & sent home safely!).. I get in my car & put this song on to unwind on the way home. Love the greatest Christmas Hits CD in the car! The lightness of it takes all the stress away! Edited to add: I saw the new Willy Wonka movie & was not impressed with it at all. Timothy Challemet (sp?) was good but the story was slow & the first half way too drawn out. The only memorable song was the original Pure Imagination with new verses added.

We have a live show every other Sunday, we put out content on our Patreon channel almost every other day and we like and comment on lots of our followers comments. We may take the odd day off here and there just to have family time and do our proper jobs, but we also find time to comment and like as many posts as we can. Even the not so nice ones. All the best

I usually love your reactions but you were so off on this one. You have to understand the mash up of these two songs and how perfect they did this. You can just imagine Willy Wonka and Snoopy gliding around together to this vocal perfection

The harmony of the voices in PTX is perfect as always, but so much sensuality in a Christmas song is not to my cup of tea... oh, I'm an oldie, ha ha!
