'Hallelujah' was 1st song I heard performed by Lucy Thomas. I literally fell out of my chair. Had to play it 10 more times to make sure my ears and eyes weren't fooling. Been a fan ever since.

Its great but its not even her best by any stretch of the imagination, she sings I Will Always Love You and Run To You and blows the Whitney Houston versions out the building then there are her gorgeous renditions of; Cant Help Falling In Love, Wind Beneath My Wings, Footprints In The Sand, and Somewhere Over The Rainbow just to name a few.

Lucy has an amazing voice. Martha's voice is still maturing. If you like their harmonies listen to The Prayer. Martha is only 12 in this video. Lucy is 17. They are both amazing...

I’ve noticed so many in the UK have a hard time praising someone appropriately. This was STUNNING. You both said it was good. HUGE difference. Also, they are planets away from Angelina Jordan. When I was in High School, Angelina would not make the cut to be on my high school choir. She is tone deaf. Listen to her Bohemian Rapsody. She misses every other note. I have those ears that someone like her makes my ears hurt to listen to because they are so far off pitch. Now Lucy, I can listen to all day every day. Also if you paid attention to their reaction at the end, this shows you it was a live recording. They were both super happy of how it turned out.

Lucy Thomas (she is British) has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 18 but like Angelina, Jordan has a voice far beyond her years. Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats. Her musical track is musical comedy, she has already sung the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’. She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha. I wasn't as keen on her Aerosmith cover as others she has done in all honesty but it was still very good as if everything this beautiful young lady sings, if I had to pick an absolute favourite it would probably have to be Somewhere Over The Rainbow, if it is humanly possible for someone to sing that as beautifully if not more so then Eva Cassidy did in her time then Lucy's version is it. I cried uncontrollable when I first heard it!

Angelina is not living off covers , in fact she belongs to a very well off family .She sings because she loves being on stage , performing live. Many artists perform covers before they make it big , Adele is just one example . Angelina is only aged 18 , she wrote her first 2 songs aged 10 / 11 . And several more since .Her ep old enough has all 6 originals co written . Angelina is currently working with Grammy winner Toby gad ( writer and producer ) They have written " bad valentine " to be released in about 2 months . As for Lucy, we bot h agreed that she was good on a first time hearing her and she was also duetting so it was hard to give a full review of just Lucy. As a Brit, Lucy is the fabulous singer but by now I’m sure you have discovered that. Lucy can sing effortlessly with breath control so doesn’t need to open her mouth wide or strain. In my opinion those others you mentioned don’t stand up to Lucy. But nice you feature the Thomas’ and share your opinions. Lucy was 13 on The Voice Kids. Now her ‘Hallelujah’ with combined editions has 68 million viewers and growing on that one song, and I don’t consider that her best song. For a duet should also check out their song ‘The Prayer’ with over 5 million viewers, maybe 6 now. Their version isn’t in your list, so go watch it and add to the millions! It’s not your preferred music, but in any case it is a masterpiece so well worth a reaction.

( In , only, few years) Do you know that her cover of " hallelujah" is reaching 23 millions views in less than 2 years. Do you know she reached 500 K subscribers? To get these results, you must be more than average, as you think she is. Did you listen to her singing few original songs from the musical : Rosie? Soon, she will be the main character of the musical. Did you listen to her singing : hallelujah? all by myself? Or wind beneath my wind? or prints in the sand? or somewhere ( west side story), or any other songs she did? She is doing all of them in her own way . I wrote the comment as I was disappointed, i felt you were underating Lucy. She is a lot of more than " above average" . Her KZbin channel results are the proof . About Angelina, Daniela, Amira ( for her it is a little different as she is more in the "Opera" type of singing), they are all over youTube reaction sites. I do not know one site that did not do a minimum of 4 of 5 reactions to these singers. I cannot say they are not good , but there is an overflow.. There are , like Lucy , other very good young singers: Connie Talbot ( another British girl), Benedetta Caretta, Morrisette, Sohyang, with a lot of less coverage. Check them too. They are also very good. I discovered Lucy , in 2020. Since then, I am bewitched by her voice. The covers she does are always with a " Lucy twist". Apart of covers , she has few originals songs from the musical : Rosie. "Starlight" being the most successful. Listen to " hallelujah" or " all by myself". BP1 & BP2, I have rewatched and respect your reaction and love that you have responded in the way you have to Lucy’s fans who were a little surprised and disappointed in this reaction. Thank you for your responses. Lucy’s followers have had so many reactors like yourselves just blown away, she takes us all on a journey, that fine balance of performing a cover that is her own but also similar to the artist that originally sang the song, which is in fact the reason we loved the song and it was a hit in the first place. Lucy is just a great story teller, she has the ability to stir up emotions. I must admit, I am hooked and get great joy out of watching a reactor get similar emotions to me from one of Lucy’s performances and I hope to experience that with you guys sometime soon. lucy is truly an oustanding singer. martha is still very young so will need time to progress if singing is something she wants to do. compared to angelina and the amount of exposure she has got in america, lucy is only marginally behind in subscribers which is pretty telling.

I wouldn't say 200 thousand is marginal , the exposure ANGELINA had in USA was at aged 13 at aged 14 she signed for republic records, since then she has been attending school she is now aged 16 and to date has not been promoted by her label it's rumoured her album will be released early next year it's then that we can expect her label to promote her heavily.

Sorry Guys but you really seem reluctant to recognize how great these singers truly are, particularly Lucy. To call them good is very tepid and weak on your part. Lucy has about 60 songs on her channel and has amassed close to 115 million views now with 648,000 subscribers. She is only 18 years old with maturity beyond her years. Her voice is remarkable. Hard to believe that you guys are so disconnected from how special she really is. Kind of a mystery to me. Almost makes me want to unsubscribe.

@@BritPopsReact OK Guys, I forgive you for that reaction 5 months ago. I think you are starting to warm up to Lucy. She is not cut from the same cloth as many of the current young singers are. She does not use bells and whistles to hide behind because she is a genuine superb vocalist. You guys should be proud of having such an outstanding and phenomenal artist. This is one of my favourite Christmas carols, I had to check it out. I'm afraid I've been spoiled by listening to Amira, there are half a dozen you tube clips of her singing it, and hitting that high note at the end. One of the best is a 3:30 vid of her at the Albert Hall, when she was 10, but there is one of her singing it the following year at the canisius church in Nijmegan, which is up there as well. I wish this pair well, but when you have heard the angels sing, there is a lot of ground to make up.
